Have to say - I know every matchup has its own context, but I do find it weird that we have such an even record against the Greek giants historically.

    6 wins, 6 losses, 0 draws.

In more recent meetings between both sides, we've actually done better in Greece than we have on our own turf!

That being said, I expect us to beat them pretty comfortably on Wednesday night.

Keep Saka, Timber, Gabriel, Cala, Trossard, Gyok on the bench as emergency. Rotate after about 55mins.

A game we should win, but they have been a difficult opponent for us in the past.
I am not too fussed about the CL until the knockout stages - qualification is almost certain.

Does anyone remember the original Olympiakos supporters club on Hornsey Road, near the junction of Seven Sister's Road ? I believe it was the official supporters club in London and they used to play in the Greek League on a Sunday, it was an arcade in the front and the members would go into the back. They had pool tables in there as well, spent half my childhood in that place LOL ! Long since gone but never forgotten.

A lot more rotation than I expected. I'm surprised.

    1-0. Martinelli.

Merino plays an incisive pass into Odegaard, who skips away from the defender, and plays a ball that has a bit too much on it for Gyokeres, who should be second best to the ball. Despite that, Gyokeres bulldozes his way past the defender and gets a shot off, which the goalkeeper gets a touch on. But it deflects onto the post and Martinelli has a tap-in from 1 yard out.

Bright start from Arsenal. Although we need to be wary and defend the long balls over the top a bit better.

    1-0

Unlucky for Gyokeres that didn't creep in.
Martinelli making up for that horrendous early miss

Crazy that we are can dominate UCL opponents like this whilst resting.. Saka, Eze, Rice, Timber, Calafiori etc.

    Squad is looking great.

We've been absolutely battering them in the opening 18 minutes. Should be 2 or 3 already.

Olympiacos almost equalise out of nowhere. What a strike on the half volley by Podence, who makes a great run off White and Raya makes a sublime save.

That was actually a really good move from Olympiacos.

Oh Martinelli <doh>. We had a 2v1 on the counter and if he gets his head up, Gyokeres is totally free on goal. He doesn't spot him, runs into trouble and the 1 Olympiacos defender intercepts.

That's frustrating for me, but has to be even more frustrating for Gyokeres.

Gyokeres does really well to win the ball back after Merino's sloppy pass, plays it out wide to Trossard, who crosses it into Merino/Martinelli.

It comes out to White, who puts in a dangerous, fizzing curled cross in that Olympiacos do well to defend.

Am I going crazy or is Gyokeres being manhandled there? How was that not a free-kick?

And now the ref gives a foul against White when he wins the ball <doh>. Is he drunk or something?

Odegaard plays a superb pass into Gyokeres and he's through on goal. The Olympiacos defender gets back in the nick of time to make a last ditch interception and it goes over the top for a corner. I've been defending the Swede a lot, but he needed to do better there IMO.

Arteta's been talking to White a few times already and he doesn't seem pleased with him...

I wonder what it's about as I don't think White's been that bad.
