These people are idiots, the airport is about 8 miles from the town centre iirc ... ... that's about the same as Newcastle.
So what's he's saying is he took the cheap budget airline fair to "Brussels South Airport" rather than the more expensive fares toBrussels airport which is closer but north of the city. ****ing moron that kid
What on earth is going on at that club, they're absolutely desperate <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Wishing all who observe a meaningful Yom Kippur. <a href="https://t.co/R4WS2ZHGf2">pic.twitter.com/R4WS2ZHGf2</a></p>— Newcastle United (@NUFC) <a href="">October 1, 2025</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
To be fair, there's a massive Jewish community in Gateshead. Gateshead Tesco always has front of store displays for Jewish religious days, which I don't see in other Tesco stores.
That's very true but it just seemed a little strange and slightly skewed imo ... ... I just haven't noticed them wishing local Muslims and Hindus a happy Ramadan or Diwali. It's dangerous ground for football clubs and will just annoy the Jehovah's Witnesses when the club refuses to open the door to them
I really believe this is all a bit of a slippery slope tbh. I’d rather our club kept out of religion, politics and nationalism.
Agreed. it just becomes endless as you have to appease multiple fan groups /religions and cultures to stay balanced. We’re a welcoming family club, that’s all that matters whatever your background.
My problem is that it all seems harmless but you're setting yourself up for a fall in my opinion. We didn't, as far as I know, send messages to NUFC when their owners were celebrating Saudi National Day or Ramadan ... ... would they expect something or are they still pretending they don't really own the club, who knows? Personally I think the whole 'taking the knee' thing caused more problems than it solved and I'd rather we didn't become too involved.
