Not sure I can be arsed wading into this too much this evening but a reluctance to address race/religion played a pretty major role in these crimes going unpunished for so long and many could/should have been avoided entirely if it weren’t for enormous failings by police and social services. Good of course people have been locked up but it doesn’t turn the clock back and there are old men in that group who have had some good years of their life free undeservedly.

I don't care who anyone is on this forum, if I think something is out of turn I say it. I might not be liked for saying it, but I say it nonetheless. You could have stepped back for a second in an attempt to understand Fosse, even maybe ask for clarity, but as usual your own self importance and arrogance took over.
These kids were getting abused for over 20 years and the reason it happens is because people don't speak up, or victims get ignored or not taken seriously enough, and yes that's by those in authrority as well. I've spoken out several times about the care home down on the South Coast where they use to traffic kids from London down to there, and the owners died before they could be brought to justice. Much like Saville was never brought to justice because of certain silent voices. I remember a tv interview that must have been at least 40 years ago now, and the tv presenter got angry with the people responsible for kids who had been abused in a home, the presenter came from a care home himself, and the reason he got angry is because he got fed up with hearing the word sorry! People that make light of this or think it's a joking matter are as bad as those who have their lips sealed shut, because it's not a joking matter, and the slightest context it is, I'm going to be ****ing jump on it, and that includes sarcastic remarks, I'm not sorry if that offends.
There's a few others I've had a go at in the passing of time for similar things, it's up to them if they want to speak up, but a vendetta it is not, it's speaking up about certain behaviours that sometimes that are just not funny. I said on here once before to someone, I don't normally comment on this stuff, because I know I'm going to get emotional and kick off.
