I agree that Labour, overall, are by far the worst Government I’ve ever seen
But under the Tories millions and millions of legal and illegal people entered this country so in that respect they are equally or more to blame

They could have nipped it in the bud when it started ramping up in 2018 but instead they were weak

 

shares suspended just taken out a £550m contract with .gov fo 4 years worth of accomodation /meals/ transport/etc's with .GOV
What does that say regarding getting rid of hotels and cutting illegals crossing!!!!!!!!

Ministers have since enlisted CTM to cope with the growing number of illegal migrants coming over the English Channel, with the business tasked with providing accommodation while asylum claims are processed.
Meanwhile, in April this year, CTM landed a fresh £550m four-year contract to provide “contingency accommodation and wraparound services associated with accommodating asylum seekers”.
CTM has said this involves finding hotels and allocating places, and organising transport and meals that are provided by subcontractors.

 

.gov site is dragging its heels publishing but 85 on 1 boat thats really desperation and risky

 

the latest bombshell as to ILLEGALS wasting our hard earned tax payments ... 1 sub contractor for the Ministry of importing illegals has just been shown to be billing £344,000 per month for taxi's .. one only has to wonder who the taxi drivers and the amounts they likely "overcharge!" only needs 2 others on same game and cost and thats £12,000,000 per annum that could pay the wages for over 300 nurses or policemen or could be used to pay for a helping hand to 400 in need financially care homes of £30,000 per annum pay for 1 xtra staff and still have a few grand left

not surprised downright peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeded orf that this .gov that had 14 years of practice time for when they eventually would take over the reigns have IQ ZERO's in all departments and not see further than a fly on their nose. This .gov is panning out to be the worst ever in our Great British history. There is never a speech/ question / answer / etc where they fail to slag off people or legislation, or commit the sin of claiming early successes repeatedly ..like interest rates employment deportations that were carry overs from last .GOV. IT IS ESTIMATED THAT THERE some 20,000 + potential boat crossers awaiting opportunity to join 80+ others in boats that are now being made bigger to carry 20% more in each crossing............ and today we heard ??? 2 tiers? labour council is paying for free hair cuts..... sod the locals just add it to their council tax bill............ enjoy Cyprus there are some amazing walks in the more rugged area's.........

I’m having double knee replacement surgery in the New Year so any walking is frankly an ordeal at the moment let alone hiking in the mountains

 

Some of the path's are reasonable ... had a bad hip for 8+ years and bit the bullet on painkillers / anti inflamatories! Went on 4 or more expeds to NW Scotland annually for most of those years about 5 -6 mile round trips and 4-7 hours under ground crawling around and digging etc [ about 6 trips each visit of 2 weeks [ did 2 weekends so 12+ days ]
surgeon at Emmersons said one of the worst 5 he had ever seen/ operated on! now its my other leg and knee.
Apparently my right knee pain was due to the hip which gave me less pain hip sorted knee fine ......... said would see me in 5 years for other leg and reckon he is right on!

I’m struggling to cope with the 60 yards from the swimming pool to our apartment.

The pain at times is intense and radiates from the knees into my thighs, lower legs, heels, instep, Achilles Tendon, toes etc
I have significant Osteoarthritis in both knees

The Orthopaedic surgeon thought I might have a back problem after receiving chemo and radiotherapy last year but there is no problem there luckily following an MRI Scan

I’m just very limited where I can go and what I can do at present

Even getting off a sunbed is an ordeal

Luckily, I can cope with sitting at the bar !

 

well you have got the most important bit right..
reminds me of an evening in NW Scotland sat round the fire 2 doctors and their wives and me [ plus a couple others ] in the back ground was an almost imperceptical music stream ... at one point playing a tune from the 3 degree [ or was it 4! ] and I looked up and said here we are 1 doctor the others wife and me all complaining about our misfortune we should be called the the 3 bad knees's!!!!!!!!! Humour or attempts does help with the pain!!!!!!! 6 YEARS LATER i HAD MY HIP REPLACED AND NO PAIN IN MY KNEE!

I may have said on here before about about a friend up there had both knee's done at same time [ about 18 month's ago ] it was fine recovery was great for the first 3 -4 weeks then a bit dodgy for one knee about 3 - 4 month's on one knee perfect and a struggle with the other [ quite bad struggle ] lasted about 8 month's and got 50% ish better..... then after a year still needed a "stick/walking pole" ..... recently she says she manages Ok but its "awkward".
think the concensus was healing rates are different/ were different and either way one or the the other first should have been first sorted then other done later ......... [ they knew the left was worst . should have been first was 1 opinion, ] so hopefully you will get sorted without that hassle!

Initially they offered to just do the right one at the Chesterfield in Clifton next month, but on the NHS
The NHS won’t fund double knee replacement at the Chesterfield for some reason so it’s got to be Southmead although with the same surgeon
With recovery taking up to a year and with the likelihood of being made redundant early next year, that’s what I opted for
One op, one general anaesthetic and be done with it hopefully

 

Are you doing it on NHS or private? I dont think the NHS condones both? Friend in Inverness had it done private she is very late 70's or even 80!

Cost to the Great British working persons tax payments ...ANOTHER £62,000,000 thats without the cost of wages maintenance of border control boats and personnel [ also the life boats are constantly in use and they are non .gov supported by funds from the likes of you and I]

since 4th July 2024 57,000 have crossed in "KNOWN" small boats COST????? WELL LIKELY ..£4,000,000,000 [ £4bn ] and thats only half the story as regularly we hear of other payments to be added and then there is the cost of immigration staff/offices/ border patrol/ coastguards/ health payments [NHS] like free dentist/opticians/ then policing costs as the great British public are fed up and decide to have peaceful protests / legal cost for 2 bit lawyers / not to mention the often alleged reports of crime against shop keepers etc...etc etc etc !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The direct cost of processing asylum claims, and housing people who are making asylum claims, is also a very significant and rising cost.
It is the source of a large chunk of the “black hole” in day-to-day spending that was uncovered by Rachel Reeves’s public spending audit last July.
The cost of supporting asylum seekers had risen seven times over in three years, to £6.4 billion in 2024-25. [ Liebours first year ]

Much of this goes on the spiralling cost of asylum accommodation.
According to the National Audit Office, the UK is on track to spend £15bn over ten years with just three companies that provide asylum accommodation.
The UK will be spending about the same amount on this housing as it is on subsidising renewable energy through its Contracts for Difference scheme.

The overall cost of processing an asylum claim in the UK was found to be £106,000, according to the Home Office’s impact assessment for the Illegal Migration Bill in 2023
But this cost was also forecast to rise to £165,000 over four years. [ ASSUME half way through = 136,000 ]
At the current rate of income tax on the current median income, this represents more than 33 years of income tax contributions.
Based on this figure £136k = since labour took power = about £7 - 8bn .................. and still rising!

This is, of course, why the tax system exists.
According to the Institute for Fiscal Studies, 64 per cent of the population pays out more in tax than they receive in social security in a typical year. [ so 36% dont pay ]
The social safety net is underwritten by people who are healthy and in work. [ Our NIC ( see ### ) ... and the reason the waiting lists are long and priorities are "of the great British WORKER/ CITIZEN ARE SECONDARY" ]
People seeking asylum have very good reasons why they might not be able to work, or why their capacity for work might be limited.

and having been displaced they face additional boundaries, such as language and social connections.

### GD is waiting to see a neuro surgeon for assessment .. told the delay is now 2 years from referral, [Jan 2025 ] she is danger of a lot of things including losing her job! as needs to be told officially she is / has / suffers from " ???????????????" so employer has a base to assess from!
When pushed and pushed and pushed hard to the Q why? On NHS specialists can only see a certain number [ employed by NHS ] ALTHOUGH those private practitioners do some as well! THE NUMBER SEEN PER WEEK are not 100% born and bred BRITISH CITIZENS! This we all suspect as regularly reported in the media... sad to have it first hand though!

 

Think of all the money they could save if anyone in Government had a backbone, and those costs are obscene

Detain, fingerprint and deport anyone coming here illegally within 24 hours of arrival and with a promise they will never be allowed to return, plus get rid of those waiting for claims to be heard

Fill the black hole with the billions saved and then lower our taxes to get the economy going
Stop wasting all this money on all these people who shouldn’t be here. It’s not our responsibility to save the rest of the world.

Personal and political were entwined here: he reminded the conference about his father's job as a toolmaker who worked with his hands - and said that further education colleges had been "ignored - because politicians' kids don't go there". HE JUST HAD TO BRING IT TO THE TABLE !!.....................but again failed to say his dad "owned the factory".

 

so the LABOUR PARTY CONFERENCE IS OVER!! and the Liebour contingency of it [ Parliament ] didnt do it self any favours................ especially 2 tier with especially the less than factual comments and his ability at hindsight rememberances! Keir Starmer knows that millions of people share Reform's anger at small boat crossings, and concern about the high level of legal immigration. In fact, Sir Keir has said he's also worried about these things. So why call Reform racist for promising to do something about it? It's meant that the Prime Minister faced a series of TV and radio interviews where he had to explain carefully that he didn't think the average Reform voters was a racist, just leader Nigel Farage. note . Even his peers and others have stated he is totally wrong with his slagging off!!!
He also blundered by declaring Mr Farage an "enemy". When right-wing politicians use that sort of language about political opponents, they are accused of encouraging division and even violence. Now, Sir Keir finds himself accused of the same thing.!!!

Party leaders usually use their party conference to announce big policy ideas, and many Labour activists had been hoping Sir Keir would announce an end of the two-child benefit cap, which campaigners say is essential to cut poverty (although it would also be expensive).
But it seems Labour is still trying to make the sums add up. Instead, all we've had from Labour this year is a plan for an improved NHS app - probably a good thing, but not very exciting - and a controversial proposal for digital ID "cards", which many people oppose. There was no big announcement about helping struggling families pay their bills, cracking down on crime or finally closing down those asylum hotels. note ........... inability to have plans or work out all the peripheral costs!.. whats new....

I D cards..............It was officially announced on the first day of conference, and sparked predictable outrage.
The thing is, the Government isn't planning to create cards at all. They are really proposing a new mobile phone app, where people can do things like access their tax records or apply for a new driving licence. All this stuff is already online, but spread across different websites. The idea of creating one app so it's all in the same place isn't so crazy. But in a desperate effort to appear tough, Labour made it sound like they are creating a police state. note ... they have very very very few ideas of what they can do, look back a history of 2 tier's reign "stock phrases .."my dad..." we will do... ooooops TORIES CHANGED THEIR MINDS AND ARE GOING TO DO IT AFTER ALL" [ when tories were going to do something, then stated they were not, 2 TIER a while later said our plan "!!our plan" only to be shot down as Tories went on and did it anyway!

Banning Owen Jones
Not everybody is a fan of Owen Jones, the left-wing journalist and campaigner who was a vocal supporter of Jeremy Corbyn and now launches furious attacks on Keir Starmer.
