Second goal for them Pandur was unsighted our defender was in the way . PNE were so tall and climbed on ours or shoved them in the back all game . Guys were pulling Olies shirt and Joseph’s , he needs to get nasty .
Rumoured wages .... when he was a free transfer? It was a no brainer. The only questionning should have been related to how long we were going to give him to make his mind up before moving on to the next target.
If they're both up to it fitness wise, Ajayi and Famewo as CB's on Saturday. And at least one proper winger to start please, with either Coyle or Drameh as RB, not with one played as a square peg in a round hole elsewhere.
You'll have seen the back up keeper then Syd... the poster on here who was ex keeper (sorry I forgot your username) would be a better option..
Where have you seen Famewo is a better option than Hughes or Egan GFAW... seems a panic signing to me.. last night one touch 'in their half' a hoiked pass into midfield nearly let them in...
couldn't go last night and only just seen highlights, for me Pandur gets a pass on the first goal, ball comes through a crowd of players there's no way he's seeing that, Coyle also not at fault, with how ball looped impossible to get more power on the header. Drameh defended it poorly. 2nd, no such pass for Pandur, shot to that corner was absolutely telegraphed and you want your keeper to get that.
one thing ive finally noticed though is we purposefully overload areas of the pitch in order to create space on one side, for giles or coyle, this is what is allowing giles especially to be able to have so much space to get his killer crosses in the downside of course is it leaves us more exposed when the ball transitions, which is why our defenders and keeper being poor is costing us more than it should be, individual mistakes are proving a lot more costly, you could argue that playing like this exposes us to more attacks which increases the chance of more mistakes, i do genuinely think a fully fit ajayi transforms the defensive side though, he's much faster than our center backs and better in the air if we dont overload as much, we will be defensively more solid structurally but we will be less effective at creating chances, millar is not as good on the ball as gelhardt, but he just makes defenders scared, considering that was his first minutes in a year, i was impressed and gelhardt is so good on the right
Must have been, they also said the stands call out would be united for Ken Houghton so back to normal for the Blades.
I think that’s easy to say in hindsight, but at the time our financial position was uncertain at best, McBurnie was coming off a 3 goal season in Spain and we didn’t know if or when we could register players. I’m glad it’s worked out well, but I don’t believe anyone on here genuinely thought he would be capable of 6 goals in 9 games, he’s exceeded all expectations.
Assuming he's fit enough, it should definitely be Ajayi and Hughes on Saturday, they're our best pairing. I think we can safely assume that Drameh's not going to be in the starting XI.
Set pieces in general this season have been fairly woeful. We are second to the ball either way on the edge of our own box.
Dunno, think the majority of players were gushing over him. I think Chazz and I called him scoring a bag full.
As turn arounds in form go, is Giles ahead of the Jak? Incredible to go from prob the least liked player (by supporters) to second most important player in the squad in the space of 2 months. The Jak I think was written off on the back of that weds game but never really as disliked as Giles. What must he have been thinking and feeling like these last 18 months when it was all going so badly knowing he had it in his locker, delighted for him that it's coming good for him
No one had him as the top scorer in the division after 9 games, I didn’t see anyone on here claiming that for sure. There was a point in the summer where £30/40K a week for a player looked like insanity whilst we weren’t fulfilling our debts and had all sorts of restrictions heading our way. Fortunately the financial position wasn’t as severe as it seemed, we got the deal done and he’s repaid the faith the club put in him.
