I'm not surprised at all, there was already a massive deficit when they came in and the government hasn't raised any through taxes. We can't tax the big companies as they will just **** off elsewhere, the rich will just find a loophole. We can't claw back through benefits as the whole country kicks off and there isn't a simple quick way of means testing. Meanwhile the focus from the opposition parties is on immigration, specifically boats, which is distracting from the much bigger and more important problems we have Anyone in power will face these issues, even Reform who literally don't have a clue where any of the cash would be generated. Their figures as complete fantasy. We can't raise money quicker than the debt is growing, as a lot of countries are also seeing. The country is ****ed whoever gets in.
