Odobert's biggest problem is he should have gotten settled in last season, but only really got a run of games from February due to his hamstring injury in the early season, then needing hamstring surgery three weeks later due to somebody thinking he was good to go after the initial injury

As for what he is, he's basically the player we wish Johnson was outside the box: someone who can use their pace to create space or dribble his way through defences. Just needs to work on his crossing a little bit, in case somebody suggests that sounds a little like Timo Werner...

Trying to see the positives of what we have . Of course we need a stronger LW but in the mean time to see Oderbert trying to work with Xavi and Spence/ Udogie is the best we can perhaps hope for right now.

We need to reflect on, learn from, and improve after tonight’s performance. But results around Europe - like Gala beating Liverpool - and over Spurs’ history tell us that a point at Bodo isn’t to be sniffed at. They have an excellent European home record. And Spurs have deserved more from games in the past and got less.

    I hadn't considered this.

When we played them last season they were in the middle of their summer break iirc.

I know social media is an absolute cesspit for controversy, especially as clicks and views = money in most cases, but I’m really struggling with the fans that are on Frank’s back already. 9 games. 1 defeat. Yes, we can improve, but have fans forgotten that we basically lost most games last season? Have they forgotten what it was like just simply expecting to lose before the game even started? Chaotic football? No defence?

In many of our games, we’re seeing majority the same players under a new manager, but at least Frank (in the most part) has made us much more secure at the back. There’s loads still to do, but we have to face the reality that many of our players are not of a good enough standard. I just can’t understand the mindset from certain fans at the moment.

decent point away last night, despite how poor the performance was. Bodo isn’t an easy place to go, and coming back like that does a lot for the belief in a team. Onwards and upwards. Just need to keep grinding out results.

We also have to consider that we have the injuries to Solanke, Maddison and Kulusevski, a club like Spurs under the rule of Levy we're never going to sign players to cover injuries Kulusevski was always a mid season recovery but Maddison and Solanke we're unexpected

I heard on the radio this morning that Bodo/Glimt have won 10 / 13 home games in European comps and the fact that spurs are undefeated in 2,I will accept last night's result

I guess we won't really know how good a point last night will ultimately have been until a few other teams have travelled North. For sure though, as pointed out, we got them at a great time in April as they came out of hibernation, and they probably had the timing better in late September.

And of course it is far too early to be over- judging or writing off TF after just a few games: the result of which have been largely positive.

I do however also think that there have been a few concerns over the last few PL, the EFL game and last night.

Hopefully we will get a few of the walking wounded back on the pitch before too long and we start to show some more consistency in attack.

But it remains that a couple of 'experienced' players whose places should be in question, again did little to suggest otherwise in Norway.

Onward and upwards, Boys, Onwards and upwards!! :emoticon-0148-yes:

They’ve won 26 drawn 3 and lost 6 of their European games at home over the years

    something like that anyway

either way they deserve more respect than their plastic pitch demands

win our next game and we on the way to qualifying

Frank hasn’t dealt with this kind of set up before of PL and big Euro games every week

he seems like a smart man, let’s hope he gets the balancing right

It was fascinating watching r/coys try to find a lightning rod last night

Odobert and Danso were the main ones, though Simons was somehow both the player we needed on the pitch and the worst player on the pitch in a two minute period

I will stop short of pointing out one thing those three players visibly have in common with one another...

yeah I agree. There’s no doubt about it, some of the performances have been poor. They were the same under Ange. But at the same time, Frank is now in getting the best out of some of those same players (Sarr for example) so it’s hard to draw any other conclusion at this point than the fact that certain other squad players just might not be up to it, for whatever reason. It’s also worth considering that there are players that might not be suited to his playing style, as well as just not being very good/bang average. He’ll have to be one hell of a coach to change the fortunes of a number of players that haven’t set the world alight thus far.

There appear to be players in the squad
who do not have the discipline/respect to play
well, whatever regime the manager wants
    on-pitch

All clubs have to be brave in clearing them out ASAP.

Other than that, I expect to an accurate
measure of a new manager to emerge at
least by the midway point of the first season.

    Agreed.

To many players who seem to think that it is acceptable to just turn up, go through the motions, and get paid £100k a week for the privilege.

Bentancur, Johnson and Vicario top this list imo.

Agreed. Only Johnson of those 3 has any real positive (the knack of scoring goals) to shelter behind - and that shelter is diminishing quite fast.
