I thought we were a bit static up top for the first thirty minutes or so, which really slowed us up. We woke up after they scored and looked a lot more dynamic from then until the last twenty when we were understandably nervous about getting it over the line. Agreed on Jander. Looks class.
I'd like us to start Scienza on Saturday. He'll be fresh and he'll bring creativity and energy to the team.
Well that's fair enough and a well-made point, but equally as a collective group of supporters we have put up with some proper crap over the last few seasons, and even the promotion season wasn't a bed of roses, losing two games 5-0 etc. So if you are maybe less robust when it comes to football, yup my hand is in the air, you can react a bit 'over-the-top' shall we say? As for Stewart, I am so chuffed for him, personally, he must have been a bit 'down', I don't care how confident he is, how much money he has, he is still a human being and his bad luck must have affected him. Now....didn't he score 10 goals in 13 Sunderland Championship appearances? Lets have some of that.....
Good to see that Will has found his best starting 11 and is not afraid to drop those not performing? I rather like the look of Wood, Quarshie and Edwards but big Josh is going to have to learn quickly, the tackle he made for the first was pretty naive to say the least and to be beaten on the back post for their dissallowed goal was not great either for a guy of his height? Jander looks a very good player, full of creativity and someting we've been missing of late.
Bree's goal tonight: https://www.skysports.com/football/...arlton-athletic-the-lead-against-derby-county
Brilliant result, everyone's happy, love it. Over the moon for Stewart, I've been wanting him to play more as not had much opportunity so far. I will shortly add some interesting stats to the Ross Stewart thread about our 3 main strikers(not Downs).
