He would do well to swerve that if it was offered. Other good jobs will come, and he's not in a bad one now. Going there is like plunging your career into a vat of boiling acid and seeing how it might work out.
Can't help but think we were his chance and he knows it. I think he realised he could have been a hit here and jumped to the next "similar" job that came up in England. But saying that Southamptons owners are "strange", borderline clueless. I think it was always going to be tough going there right now and that rep of being one of the bright young coaches in European football won't last long if he keeps struggling. A retreat to somewhere else to try and rebuild his reputation?
