I think Bramall Lane is only going to become a harder place to come as the season goes on so very happy to get 3 points from our trip.
Amazing isn't it? Goodness we are simple creatures. Brum were very close to getting 0 points tonight too.
Only 4 points off of automatic promotion, league positions are not that important at this early stage of the season.
It'll be interesting to hear if Fellows is injured or not. He was good first half so I'm expecting he picked up a knock.
Just watched the highlights - admitedly only 3 or so minutes - but two good goals by Saints - McCarthy's save was good, I would expect him to make it but fair enough he did, and the disallowed goal was a foul, you can't physically put your arm around his waist at a corner. The second goal by Stewart was superb, he placed that and he knew where that was going as soon as it left his foot. I'm happy.
Finn Azaz is the worrying one, another tepid display or maybe it's because I bet on him to score (i got the result right though!..)
Yeah, i think he struggled without an overlapping run. Which is the nature of playing with wing backs.
Honestly, reading this thread back is funny. This is precisely why people need to chill a bit and be patient. Bramall Lane in Wilder’s first game back was never going to be easy. It was always likely to be a bit stodgy, but we largely dominated the game, and found a way to get the three points. Far from perfect, but again you can see the progress being made. We were understandably nervous for the last twenty or so, but three points in the bag. Delighted for Roscoe getting up and running. Bit by bit we’re getting there.
