Porro has worn the armband this season. I wonder why he was overlooked. More interesting is the fact that the likes of Vicario and Bentancur were also overlooked, and quite rightly imo.
He’s only played 59 games for the club is still quite young. There should be far more options for captain than him.
His on-pitch behaviour. Captains will lift and cajole their team-mates into action, by example or otherwise. Haven't seen that yet in VDV.
I didn't realise our tactics are to not start playing.... This is pretty dier stuff, we look so disjointed. Bodo are bossing it, even if they haven't created too many chances yet.
Terrible so far, passing once again has been poor, continually giving the ball away under no pressure. And we frequently seem to win the ball in a tackle only to immediately lose it.
Starting to get into it a bit more. Just need to be quicker with the final pass. All very pedestrian...
It’s weird. We’ve not had a look in, but at the same time it’s like we haven’t even bothered getting out of second gear. It’s feels very much like the plan is to just sit back, conserve energy, and try to nick a goal. If that fails, bring on some subs with 20 mins to go and try that!
