Crisis club Sheffield Wednesday have told their players they will not be paid on time this month with Tuesday's pay day for September's wages set to be missed.

Pay delay was rumoured last week, sounds definite this time. Sure I saw a tweet that said it was the 13th time under this owner!!!
5 EFL embargoes on the go right now too.
But still above Sheff Utd in the table .

    Horrendous.

Chansiri seems unhinged. I thought at one time he was just out of depth, but he seems completely loopy.

He has had offers which he has dismissed. It's as if he doesn't understand his predicament.

They have no assets other than a pretty old ground which has seen no work done on it in twenty odd years. And it was old then. More players will now leave. The supporters are in open mutiny. A tax bill is due I think. Embargoes all over the place.

It has no cash value right now.

Less than three and a half years ago, we edged them in a play off semi final. How bloody lucky are we?

don't particularly like many of the FA rules and regs but ffs something has to be done for these...especially when the 'elite clubs' appear to do just as they wish and get away with it.

plus they have to change exactly how they decide which owners are worthy.

Hillsborough looked good that night, who knows what could've happened if Roberts hadn't scored that goal.

I had some sympathy, for Sheff Wed, but it went after those below us started doing the 'cut throat' signs on the Leppings Lane lower <doh>

Considering the EFL allowed Wigan to be taken over by a bloke who put them into administration so they'd be relegated and he could win a multi million dollar bet, I've little faith that they'll do things right. Deciding who are "fit and proper" owners at EFL level is their responsibility. Scary thought.

I keep a close eye on events there partially because it could easily have been us, but also because I just find it astonishing.
Its ridiculous that the authorities just sit on their hands claiming there's not much else than deduct a few points and prevent them paying for new players. They're fielding an artificially weakened team and not paying other clubs owed funds, if this isn't comprising the integrity of the league competition what is?
But, good old EFL, anything done to Chansiri could be done to other club owners so no chance of them voting to do anything. Useless.

    Aye, deep in bother

They’ve done well to get the points they have this season, really poor squad with no depth

When I read stuff like this, it reinforces how lucky we are to have KLD and Co at our club.

The 'Just sponging off his mam' brigade have really kept their heads down this season ...

... no doubt they'll spring back up, if we slip, and claim they knew all along <doh>

including the media... however, what we're doing hasn't really been noticed. What I have noticed is that Andrews at Brentford seems to be getting all the love (before Saturdays result) from his mates at sky etc.

The EFL are useless, at everything they do.

But it could be worse than it might seem for Wednesday. I have a mate who is an Owl and though not wanting to intrude in on private grief, I asked him if this is just another bit of the same.

He says that there is a charge of some sort on the ground, some loan Chansiri took out to keep the plates on the sticks, and it is payable imminently. Probably a seven figure sum.

A tax bill is also due, though it's not known yet if Chansiri has paid that. He might be stupid enough to just ignore it.
