Totally agree, loved Brad. Someone else (sorry can't remember who) alluded to the fact that their goal was a bit of a keeper clanger and I'd agree. Days gone by he would have caught it, but there is this insistence now to parry the ball away. I was listening to a podcast earlier and the guy (who was a coach) said this is the way they develop them now due to the "risk" of trying to catch the ball. Blimey when I played (long time ago now) the big advantage was that you could use your hands.........
Expectation comes from something rational. I didn't expect Spurs to win. However I fully expected Wolves to come and play a game that could nullify Spurs. "... but I simply abhor teams coming to Tottenham to claim their first wins of the seasons!" I suspect statistically it happens so little in general or to Spurs in particular as to not expend any emotion over it.
It was me - no need to apologise! Not catching it was bad enough, but then pushing it into the path of two oncoming players was even worse.
Stick the Spurs goalkeepers squad in a room with their eyes clamped open a la Alex in clockwork orange and make them watch film after film of Pat Jennings doing the job the correct way
I met him when I was about 9 or 10 in Bejams in Hoddesdon. The Spurs training ground was in Cheshunt and I believe he had a house in Broxbourne at the time so it probably wasn't that surprising but my overriding memory is that he was a giant of a man but as you say, a real gent.
First half was pretty decent, apart from the lack of a goal that actually counted. Half-time subs by Wolves were really effective though and we were appalling after the break. Our subs were too little, too late and we were very lucky to nick a point in the end. Frank has to give Odobert and Tel a chance down the left and stick with Simons in the middle. Richarlison's getting little to no service and he's completely isolated, too. We also have to work out a backup plan for attacking midfield, as one option isn't enough.
Our only threat for most of the game was Kudus which allowed Wolves to double up on him , not having Porro to assist also made the job easier , Spence could help if he gets more time in that position , he has played LWB for most of the last 9 months when we brought on Sarr and Porro it gave them more to worry about but left it too late in the game
Spence was less effective with Kudus too, as he wanted to occupy the same space. Porro's more comfortable in central areas and playing crosses from deep than Spence is. It may be that Spence/Johnson and Porro/Kudus are better combinations than the alternatives.
