I agree that we'll have a run of results, that don't go our way, but I don't think it'll be poor form ...

... there's a very strong mentality and we have the squad capable of adapting.

If Xhaka stays fit I don't think our heads will drop at any point.

Never. You can’t have a player like that on the park and even contemplate throwing it in.

He’s a colossus. He’s a prime alpha male, pure leadership spills out of him. He can play as well.

We knew he was a levels signing but my god I didn’t expect him to be as influential. Assumed he’d sit deep and keep it simple, but he’s involved in everything.

    Capitano.

I was wandering back tot he train station after the game and had a chat with a couple of Forest fans - they were hugely complimentary about us and were saying that how we played reminded them of their first season in the PL. They were also winging like hell about "Big Ange" - I don`t think he has lost the fanbase...I do wonder if he`ll ever win it...they were also pissed with Nuno (engineered his own exit for a pay-out...).

To my entirely untrained (and beer fuelled eyes) our stand out was GX - he just didn`t put a foot wrong and was directing the team like a conductor works with an orchestra - what a signing...

It won`t last all season but let`s enjoy the ride...

He's an inspirational signing, and his effect on the players around him is immense. He commands the lads in the dressing room and on the pitch...a bit like Kevin Ball did in the Reidy days,....but with more skill than Bally ( no disrespect....I loved him). Apart from his obvious class,he's so clever, lots of little pushes and shoves to gain advantage....which is Premier League through and through.

Some player and captain Xhaka, It's absolutely ridiculous that he agreed to come here.

That must have been some 10 year plan that KLD gave him to review.

Absolutely feel for Forest being stuck with Postecoglu having lost a competent manager over politics.

Not at all convinced by him as a manager and think he's an utter knob as a bloke.

Yep, completely agree. Over the moon to get him beat. Disgrace how long he was at Spurs. Their league campaign was an absolute shambles.

    Doesn’t half rate himself.

‘serial winner’ he calls himself. Everyone won at the clubs he was at pre Spurs.

Fair play on the Europa but the league position was an absolute disgrace of a showing, and the league is always your proving ground.

He will be dog **** for Forest.

Decent manager at a certain level, but not cut out for a "big" job, even though he thinks he us. Like Amorim and Martin, too stubborn to change how he plays when it's not working, but unlike them he's antagonistic and borderline aggressive when called out on it. He had a good start at Spurs where they built up a lot of points initially, but after that he was poor and the form carried on from there. The good start definitely papered over the cracks.

Great weekend of football. Watched our game with the lad only as others away, with nephew at the game. Great first-half and refereeing as they, like Villa, were constantly diving. The Wall was immense, Xhaka shaded the motm from Roefs, Alderete and Mukiele. It was a shame to see one or two missed placed passes from Hume and Rigg, as I want them to do well in the Premier. Masuaku plays like a hand-grenade ready to go off. Frightening some of his challenges... mind you, very nervous second half until Geertruida nearly did an Onuoha... great Substitutions by RLB.

Enjoyed our brief spell in a Champions League place, but was happy to allow Arsenal back in on Sunday <cheers>

Looking forward to a family get-together next Saturday to watch the lads at manu. What a time it is to be a lads fan. I'm over the moon for my 16 year old son is living through this...

    Hhhaaa'wwwwaaaaayyyyyy the lads

    @Squawka
Nordi Mukiele is the only defender to make more than 10 tackles in the Premier League this season and not be dribbled past once.

Noah Sadiki covered more ground than anyone else on the pitch against Nottingham Forest with tracking data showing that he ran 11.67 kilometres.

Mind, Geertruida had more control of the ball than Onouha ever had!!!
