Just watched Palace v Liverpool yesterday.... great game.... 18 unbeaten Palace... I'm not having their CF playing with his shirt tucked in though...
Newcastle seem to be getting the lions share of the decisions against Arsenal, but when you see Arteta constantly ****ing whining with a face like a slapped arse, you can understand why the officials don't want to give his team anything.
Blimey…..just seen the result in the Newcastle v arse game….2 goals from the arse in injury time to win it. The prem league is crazy, sooo many late goals
Arsenal’s first goal was in the 85th minute. A fair result in the end as Arsenal dominated for much of the game.
I think he should be a great appointment, but he won’t be. Knives probably already out for him. It was the Man U plastic types that pressured him out of the England job in the first place, ****ing vermin.
If Southgate can take the best team in Europe and **** it up twice, what makes anyone think he can take the randomly assembled basket case that is Man U and achieve any sort of success?
Flip that on its head, he took the biggest basket case in international football and turned them into a functional team.
england were maybe the best team in europe in 2021, thats it, but italy were no slouches spain were far superior in 2024
I was at the final with Italy and we should have won. We had the attacking talent that was as good as any, but as usual, sat back after scoring and played for a 1-0. That was our biggest lost opportunity. As you say, Spain where the best team on 2024.
I think Southgate did a brilliant job with England, but that Italy game is the one he got completely wrong, we definitely should have won and you don't get enough chances in a final to be allowed to mess up that opportunity.
I agree entirely, I think overall he did a good job, but I think he will regret that Italy game all his life. We took our foot off the pedal when we should have finished them off and you can't sit back for that long against Italy without them getting one.
