I watch the first couple of hours with a mate who plays off +2. He said from the very start that the Americans would be strong and pick up points. He pointed out that the Americans from an early age play “singles” type golf in schools/ colleges whereas we grow up typically playing in junior club type competitions which include team games such as Texas scramble etc.
They were bound to be string but so should Europe have been. Where Donald may have possibly made a mistake was he knew that they'd want points on the board quick and send their top blokes out, so he could have reversed our order and put our top blokes middle of the order or bringing up the rear instead. Can see why he did what he did but ultimately only Aberg actually won, the likes of McIlroy, Fleetwood, Rahm were all ****ed from having played every previous match. All worked out in the end though.
