    Hull City face a battle to keep head of recruitment Martin Hodge at the MKM Stadium amid interest from his former club, Swansea City.

    Sources have indicated to Hull Live that the club remain hopeful that Hodge will remain at the MKM Stadium and continue in his role, despite interest from the Swans.

    He's still in his probationary period haha, he's probably not even been allocated an office yet. We did decent business this Summer so it doesn't surprise me whatsoever that our backroom staff are being sought after. Even so, he is key to us getting these free agent signings at a high enough quality to be competitive.

    He can go, everyone knows all the transfer deals are down to Acun. Usually some dodgy deal from his mates in Turkey.

    He was always a good player, if you end up with a foreigner in Turkey plays at same club for more than 5 years without loans or break, be sure that it is a good player. In Turkey football is played to make transfer so that everybody can get fair share from commissions, if a player won't move around, he is usually too good to let go until an offer that can't be rejected arrives from big teams (which was the case for Amir when offer from Besiktas came). Edin Visca was another Bosnian example.

    Swansea paying Adam Idah £40k a week is crazy. Paying £6million up front as well.

    He will make McBurnie look like the bargain if the century!

    Jonjo Shelvey has signed for UAE second division side Arabian Falcons.

    They were formed two years ago and have a lower average attendance than Scunthorpe get in the National League.

    Doesn't look like there was a queue of clubs after him then. On the subject of Scunny and attendances I noticed they played at Southend at the weekend in front of 8000 fans, not bad for that level.
