Dixon is bad, but not the worst. Just the combination of him and Matterface is abysmally awful. Mathematics, ****e timesed by ****e is ****e squared. Honestly, Sutton, Alan Smith, Don Goodman, Clinton Morrison (so useless he can't do match co commentator pundit), Lee Hendrie and Andy Hinchcliff are much worse. If I'm being honest, you can count on one hand how many are good pundits. Keane, Gary Neville and Carragher are probably the best and most insightful right now. Jill Scott has been pretty decent and so has Steph Houghton, but they've only just started out. Most of the rest are either insipid and/or thick with nothing interesting or insightful to say and don't want to say anything controversial, or only employed because they're either cheap or mates with someone doing them a favour or else they'd be signing on the dole.
'Sunderland are doing well but they haven't played anyone decent yet....' Brentford have beaten Man U, Palace sit in 2nd and are unbeaten, Villa are beating Fulham... I know it's been a very favourable run but we've still been playing established Premier League teams for the most part.
Does seem some unrest/problems behind the scenes, though. I agree the Emery is a good manager and they've a good squad, but they might under perform this year if there are problems. Not saying they'll struggle, but might find challenging for Europe harder than they'd expect this year. My mate was talking to some Villa fans last week and they reckon Rogers and Watkins want away, Rogers to play with his mate, Palmer, at Chelsea and Watkins wanted away to Man U. Both had poor games and appeared to have poor attitudes last week. If stuff like that is true, it could unsettle a dressing room and cause them to under perform
Ref who sent off Dan Neil against Boro. Absolute fool. That's a foul for going in recklessly anywhere on the pitch.
