It's been a while, but I resurrected it! VAR strikes again... Clearest of fouls, not given by ref but 'cleared' by VAR... WH defender literally holding Wilson down to stop him heading in from 2 yards.
VAR just took over 3 minutes to decide on the closest of close offside calls in the Forest game. Totally ridiculous! Fortunately for Forest they actually just equalised a couple of minutes later, but this just makes the application of the technology a joke.
Forest now 4th - above City!! This VAR **** is crazy though. If a decision is not clear in 30 seconds of review then it the on-field decision should stand. Although my understanding of the offside law is now thrown into confusion again as I thought Wood should have been called offside for when the pass to the winger was made. Wasn't that the law we were all debating last weekend?
Thread resurrection..... (Not that things have improved the past 9 months....) Watching the Villa Fulham game and two penalty claims for Fulham rejected by ref and VAR. Don't think the first was a penalty, but equally did not warrant a yellow for simulation. It is clear that there has been a memo from the PL on this subject... The 2nd is a different matter. **** Cash's arm was not in a natural - or as VAR explained 'justifiable' - position. Definite penalty. Edit: Changed my opinion on the first incident... The keeper took Kings legs away. Stonewall penalty....
