Yeah, looked that way whilst at the ground. Poor refereeing all day as far as I could see.

Also, for you Irish lads, they are doing spice bags in the trinity centre. Had one for my supper.

Watched the game in total silence!!! in a way it makes you more impartial with the game, so this is what I thought about the two conceded goals.
The free kick given was a little bit wreckless along with needless having said that the set up of the wall was Sunday morning pub stuff, no need to jump up as the height of the wall was well in excess of 6’ plus that Semenyo isn’t Brazilian and he does not have the skill to get it up and over the wall and threaten the goal, so who coached them to jump wants bell ending.
We sat back far too much in the last 10 mins, and teams will press and probe and it’s inevitable a mistake will be made and one was made resulting in the goal.
I thought a couple of the substitutions were strange and the timing of them!!!
DCL is starting to excite me in the sense he puts it about and both their CB’s were not happy how he jumped into them and put it about.
On a final note Adam’s deserved to be chinned the Yankee twat that scissor tackle he made that insensed the team was a sending off offence, Oliver is a spineless toss pot, maybe the reason he only got one game allotted to him in the last World Cup.

I agree with Infidel re DCL. He got 90 mins in yesterday and he harried and chased all afternoon. He put himself about and got his head on just about every long ball pumped up field. Yes he should/could have scored a couple in the first half, but if he stays fit we may have a weapon

absolutely agree with your ‘damned if you do’ argument, think emus point was not against the principle of doing it… just that we don’t look that good at it. Think it’s clear from his comments that Farke knows that too. He flagged it after the wolves game and he’ll be trying to get his message across again. Managers only control so much. He and the team will need to learn quick as we will need to take the points we earn this season.

Having said that, Bournemouth are a really good side, and I mentioned before the game I thought their high pressing would really cause us problems. It did, but we more than matched them, there’s a lot to be really positive about.

I’ve been really impressed with him. Even in his first cameo appearances you could see his deceptive pace, work rate, hold up play and physicality made him a real handful. He’s way more mobile than I realised, he can out manoeuvre the big centre halves and out physical the more mobile ones.

IF he stays fit he’s a really good no 9.

Downside, he’s never been a reliable finisher. Actually yesterday, I thought he was a bit unlucky… he hit the target, that’s the main criteria. He does have a knack of hitting the keeper though where the top finishers have a knack of missing them <cheers>

Another frustrating result in the end, but against a good side who have been playing well recently. A part from the Arsenal hiding we've played well enough in the other games and looking at some of the other teams in the League, I think there's enough pts to get to give us safety.

I agree aswell teams push when losing by a goal to try to get back into it. They take more chances add extra men forward. its how teams deal with it.
Not saying we did all the right things. but, sometimes you have find a way to deal with that extra threat. we could of went toe to toe but they really are not a team to be caught on a counter with. its all if's and maybe's aint it.
But I do agree with Emu when we do sit back we look very vulnerable as we soak up alot of pressure.
Something we have learn on. it was a game of goals all with set pieces.
I think we defended very well overall but this is the premier league baby and teams are more clinical.
DCL could well of been talked about with a hattrick today yet he came out the game with 0.

Been really pleased overall with DCL/Gabby/Stach and Longstaff.

From the outset I thought DCL was a good punt, bearing in mind there was no transfer fee involved. The issue for me was fitness and finishing. Keep him fit and there’s a good CF there.

Really like Gaby and Stach. Think they’ve been pretty decent since the opening game.

Was concerned about Longstaff in his initial appearances, however he started to show his ability against the Magpies (was always likely to), and has imo improved pretty much every game since.

For that reason there is a fair amount to be positive about. I don’t like us sitting back, however I think it reflects that once we make changes, the rhythm of the side goes a little more pear shaped, and we struggle. Hope we find an answer when team understanding improves. Don’t think DF intentionally sets up that way.

Might not start off deliberate but taking Okafor off for Harrison and Aaronson off for Tanaka is certainly defensive from the manager. It kinda cements the fact that the trenches have been dug.

I hear you but he subs his wingers every game… he expects a lot of them and they get knackered, we lose defensive cover when that happens. With Willy out and DJ on the bench coming back from injury I think the subs are largely forced.

Last week we only had one winger on the bench. This week Obviously DJ could have played, so going with tanaka instead of James for Aaronson is the one you could question.. and he didn’t do that til a few minutes from time. What would people say if he took a defensive wide man like Aaronson off and replaced him with an attacking one… when we’re 2-1 up?

As it happens tanaka fcks up to give away the free kick.

    who’d be a manager.

the point about us always subbing wingers highlights why Farke wanted at least one more 10/winger in the transfer window. We play 4 in a match so if we have any injuries, we can’t swap like for like.

On the way back heard someone suggest Justin on instead of Tanaka. Suppose if you're going to try defend it..

yeh heard that also… can see the logic but it would be another guy out of position. I imagine he thought tanaka could help retain possession. He didn’t. <laugh>

Hindsight a wonderful thing. Arsenal score two in last ten minutes to beat Newcastle. Terrible defending from a corner
