It’s a game we should really have won comfortably if we’re being honest. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but they’re the weakest side in the league on paper by a distance due to their predicament, playing a few kids and just whoever happens to be around along with Cardiff’s reserve goalkeeper who we barely tested. It’s a missed opportunity for sure. These next three games are further opportunities to realistically rack up some points before a bit of a horror run. I do for once have some faith in the team to compete regardless of the opposition and we’ll probably do our usual thing of playing better against the better sides.
Weird how we all perceive games differently. I thought it was decent. Burrell and Kone should of put us out of sight in first 10 minutes. There was only one team that looked like winning it in all bar last 10 minutes. Wed relied on free kicks from the ever reliable Bannan, and ref was only to happy to give them. Frey looked awful, even Bannan knocked him off the ball. Think we have already learnt 3 5 footers up front doesn't work(ended with Dembele, Smyth and Saito, can't count Frey as was a horrible watch!). God knows what JS and training team have done to player previously known as Madsen. Fair play to the them and the player himself Rhys was awesome at LB Dunne not so at RB. Smyth was crying out for balls to be played over the top which never happened Hoping for 3pts against Oxford, think Bristol City away will be a massive test of where we are as a team
The Stoke result was really good, but the other 2 wins are against teams we should be beating if we want to avoid a relegation struggle and teams like Wednesday and Watford you’d be hoping for better results against.
