When my dad died in June 1997, I flew back from Australia for a month to help mum. His funeral was held on midsummers day at 2:00pm - it was 3C and had snowed that morning. The hills around the cemetery were covered with the stuff. Very picturesque but not very pleasant - my Australian winter clothes were totally inadequate.
Been up in Swaledale this week....and then tripped and broke a bone in my foot..... so laid up for several weeks
Oh dear, yorkie. Is it painful? Do take it easy. Elevation is meant to be good, but also not being static. I look forward to hearing of your exploits after following both pieces of advice simultaneously! Look after yourself.
