He was woeful. Didn’t know the advantage rule. Meanwhile up at Blackburn our old nemesis was showing off his newly inked arms
Knew f all about any rules. Another one who should never, ever be allowed to cross the bridge again. No arguments about their pen but when Ng gets brought down by a late foot "Play on!!!"
No point arguing now but seeing that Ng incident back it’s a clear penalty and arguably a straight red. He was the latest in a long list of incompetent officiating we’re seeing this season
Have we seen a competent one? I hadn't considered a card, but you're right. Straight red for dangerous play.
At last a referee we’ve heard of doing our game at Turf Moor (is it still called that?) David Webb. Last seen in our 2-2 draw at PNE last season.
Is it really him, or are you just spinning us a line. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
We had a 3-1 win yesterday, which was fully deserved. The referee, Anthony ****ehouse ermm Backhouse had a poor game. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
It's Darren Drysdale for us at Wigan. He's a serving sargeant in the RAF and at 54 years of age, has a large amount of experience at this level. Apparently over 550 games as a ref.
He didn't have much to beat to be fair, but yes he was a marked improvement on those we've suffered up till now.
Much more experienced. It shows unless your surname is Madeley. I wonder what gem is in store for Tuesday?
Unfair, he's put the hard yards in to get where he is. Was your ref today wet behind the ears? The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Not unfair at all. Other than today we've had a load of inexperienced numpties who wouldn't know a foul from a throwin. Their inexperience leads them to make dreadful decisions which ruin the game. While they may have come up through the ranks it appears they get promoted despite themselves perhaps due to a lack of anyone decent climbing the ladder. I appreciate they have to take charge of games to show what they can do but that will only work if they learn from their mistakes and they are properly assessed. Read the comments on here and other teams' boards. We all have tales to tell about incompetent officials. We have seen the ref we had on Saturday before, at Championship level, so know he has officiated in a higher league and, personally I can't recall anything negative, I may be wrong. As for our ref on Tuesday I hope my view is wrong but if he has risen from National League to Division One in 2 years he is either very good or promoted too early to prove my point above. I hope it is the former. These are my views. No get out clause needed
