He played some really nice long passes out to fellows. I see big things coming from him

QPR loved him last season too, happy he’s made a statement to stay in the team today. I’ve had a bit of a soft spot for him since when we signed him after I heard the Peterborough chairman on Talksport. He was singing his praises and saying he really didn’t want to sell, but couldn’t turn the money down to reinvest. Made some bold claims about him being future England men’s starter etc - he looked great today, long may it continue!

Having seen the replay, the goal deflects off of the calf of the sliding leg of Wood, then up and over McCarthy. The problem is I don't think McCarthy thought it would/could do that and so wasn't set at all. Not a physical mistake, but definitely a mental one.

I had a guy a couple of rows behind me moaning at Edwards all game long - felt like I was watching a different game. I wanted him to get forward a bit more first half as he seemed to have a lot of room around him but that was it - definitely didn't need the tirade he was sputtering

That’s mad. The 3 CB’s all did well but Edwards stood out.

If I was Edwards I would love to play with Quarshie and Wood. Both absolute tanks and strong in the air, allowing him to get on with neat and tidy defending / moving the ball around.

It was nuts to be honest. "It's child play and you can't even manage it.", "just get it forward", "tippy tappy, tippy tappy", etc, etc.

There were some really good passes from him in the second half and it felt to me like he got freer in his game as it went on.

Maybe like Loading says having Wood and Quarshie around him gives him a bit of freedom to just get on with it.

For me it's the main go-to defence now as they've shown THB and JS up the last two games

Disappointed with the result, pleased with the performance.

We just need a bit of luck. If we were called Ipswich, we would have won today.

@Le Tissier's Laces , how was your Itchen experience?
