Boy do I like this team. It's the type of team I dreamed we'd have play for us. You get the impression they would jump off the nearest cliff for each other. They can play and there are some right hard b*****ds in there too. Superb lads, well done. And it has to be said again, absolutely brilliantly well coached and set up. Mind you this easy start has helped us! That's in the last three games, last season's cup winners, last year's CL quarter finalists, and last year's surprise team of the season . Both of the last two were within a hair of reaching the CL . Those three on the trot, two of them away. Two draws, one goal conceded, one game played with ten for most of it, five points. HTL!!! it's beer o'clock!

One of my best mates is from the dark side, though he is eminently sensible. He thought we'd get something today, he said 2-1 to us or 1-1. He is also mightily impressed with our transfer business. Like some on here (and unlike me), he knows a lot about European football and thinks the value we have got is ridiculous. The money means nothing to me as it happens, but I do know we have had an absurdly high strike rate this summer, and actually for a long time. What days.
