And I thought Adarma was inspirational as captain again, he was ****ing everywhere.

Was the handball shout just after their equaliser inside the box? Looked a clear handball from my admittedly poor vantage point.

Wouldn't have him as captain, but agree he is very good today. Goal was that of a finisher

Adarmas good finish vs Hull and now Borough is good for us going forward (no pun intended). Looks like the Championship ST we all know he can be.

Just got back and had dinner, nice to get little locum to a game. First time Ive been to st Mary’s since 23/24, odd having the away fans next to chapel. Was expecting this to mean that chapel was louder as fans would be having banter but still felt quiet.

It was a good batting performance and nice to see some drive, but our finishing was poor. We can’t head the ball and only Armstrong has a shot in him.

Edwards was excellent, reminds me of fonte with that hair. Charles was great. Fellows looked lively. Armstrong worked his socks off as always. Longest Ive seen Stewart play for, thought he was good in the first half.

If you want to see your team winning all the time then you have clearly chosen the wrong club.

Yeah, no need to change them again. Suspect with 3 games in a week though, we might see some rotation somewhere.

I've seen the highlights and Armstrong's goal was an 'Armstong goal' that's for sure, phew, one player who can finish in the team. The goal was deflected, I'm not surprised those at the game couldn't see it, BUT McCarthy should have stopped it. He's a professional goalkeeper and he is supposed to have reactions. One of my strong points was reactions and at my prime I honestly think I would have saved that.

So rotate the goalies, it doesn't matter we will let a crap goal in anyway.

Just back and fed now. All in all I see the green shoots. But then I would being Mr Positive :)

Agree with most of what has been said.

Nice meeting Libby, LTL & Lincoln before the game...the universe didn't miss a beat when the most positive poster and Lincoln collided <laugh>

EDIT: Also, if the opposition team ever get a penalty, don't worry the "no7 flick" will cause a miss. Ask Bruno Fernandes.

I’m not totally convinced that Tyler Dibling is four times the player Tom Fellows is.

Did McCarthy think the shot was going wide? It just looked like he let it sail over him.

GK is definitely a weak position this season. Maybe we can take a bored PL no2 on loan at Xmas?

Squashy should have done better with the header. He looks a beast though.

    Couple of moans:

Why do the hot water taps all not seem to work properly? For all the self back patting the club do over investing in the ground why not fix something as basic as that?

Similarly one of the turnstiles wasn't working today, this happened in the northam towards end of last season too. Again surely this is a basic that should be sorted, should probably stop people trying to use it too once they've noticed the issue to save time.

I watched the replay and I don’t think it deflects at all, the striker just pumped it straight into the ground. Only saw it once though so could be wrong

Was their tactic whole second half, playing in between the channels of the defenders. Ayling especially had a lot of joy finding that ball. Is one of the problems with 3 centre backs so don’t think they defended particularly badly or anything, just Boro executed it well and it’s what you should try and exploit when playing against a back three

Totally agree. Edwards looked quality, there was a time in the second half I saw him screaming at Fellows & pointing for him to move forward and press onto one of the Boro players & I just thought “wow, is that someone leading by example in defence and communicating effectively to other players telling them get their positioning sorted!?”. Very refreshing
