The only explanation I can offer is that West Ham were waiting until they'd agreed terms with his replacement, and that happened either this morning or late last night. Because otherwise, they've had all week to sack him.
They’re not playing until Monday night but still seems odd that they made him do the press conference etc then sacked him now. Unless replacement is suddenly ready to go straight away? (Presumably Nuno)
I struggle to see Potter's next job being in the PL. That's two failures in a row now, and his time at Brighton is now sometime ago. He might have to looks towards the Championship...
It's not like he did all that much at Brighton either. I can't fathom why people rate him so highly. He has achieved absolutely f*ck all in management, apart from in the Swedish lower leagues.
Why was it not a red card for the Brentford DF for the penalty? Also I can’t decide if the 5 min delay between whistle and actually taking the penalty is outrageous or hilarious. But it re-emphasises to me how much o don’t miss the PL
The established 17 though. No team ever gone down after getting 11 points from 6 opening games @Saintmagic
