I was at this game, Hesford was crap but injured his back in the first half which may excuse him for barely moving, and Peter Swan played in goal for the whole of second half!
Can't have been the whole of the 2nd half as Bournemouth scored at both ends. Must've been after the 5th went in. Maybe should've tried Swanny in goal after that instead of Hesford! (in future games I mean)
Swan was in goal when the fifth goal was scored. City did really well to get back in the game considering, and I don’t remember him making any saves. It was August and Appleton had just come back, we didn’t win a game until about November!

It's baffling to me that managers keep trying to enforce their playstyle and don't try and adapt when it is clearly not working for them. It's as if they don't know that football is a results business.
That suggests to me you never saw Norman play. On a different note, Norman was battling with Neville Southall for Wales No. 1 goalkeeper. It was only Southall being in Div 1 that had him in goal. Norman was significantly better week in week out. MotD were spunking over fatty Southall's saves, when Norman made him look average.
