Solanke, Takai, Davies, Sarr, Bissouma and Kolo Muani all missed the Doncaster match. Neither side has any suspensions. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Bentancur; Kudus, Bergvall, Odobert; Richarlison. Subs: Kinsky, Spence, Danso, Gray, Sarr, Simons, Johnson, Tel, Scarlett. Wolves: Sa; Agbadou, Mosquera, T. Gomes; Tchatchoua, J. Gomes, Krejci, R. Gomes; Lopez, Bellegarde; Arokodare. Subs: Johnstone, Hoever, S. Bueno, H. Bueno, Munetsi, Andre, Arias, Strand Larsen, Hwang. Ref: Michael Salisbury. VAR: Stuart Attwell. TV: Sky Sports. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
Sarr back in contention. RKM still needs a few more days. Frank was quite ambiguous about Solanke, didn't sound like he's anywhere near to a return. Sadly has been quite an injury-prone player. Missed loads of games last season too.
Solanke is back in training, with the club's socials making a big deal of this in the week Certainly a bigger deal than Dragusin or Takai, who are also both in training but without any posts or articles highlighting the fact
He barely missed a kick for Bournemouth, too. I get the feeling that something's not being made public and they're pissing about. If he needs an operation or something then get on with it. One of the many, many reasons that we need to sort something with Dane Scarlett. He didn't have a worthwhile pre-season, hasn't played for the U21s and isn't getting minutes. Didn't get a loan and he's not getting on the pitch even when the game's dead.
This is the first real test of whether we are different beast under Frank - The Dr Tottenham tag has to end. From what I have seen Wolves have played better than their results would suggest, but even so after 5 straight defeats we need to be making it 6. They have been a proper bogey team to us in recent seasons and we need to turn that around too. Vicario, Spence, Romero, VDV, Udogie, Palinha, Sarr, Bergvall, Kudus, Richie and Xavi ...would be my selection.
They have played 7 PL opponents (5 in the league, two in the cup) , and won two. "They have been a proper bogey team to us in recent seasons and we need to turn that around too." Ah, the mantra Citeh have long been chanting to Spurs. The lesson is very simple. Spurs want to play a certain way, so if an opponent knows it, assume they have a perfect nulifier and therefore have a similarly decent other way to play.
Dr Tottenham vibes but if Frank has changed anything then we should be winning tonight otherwise it’s same old Spurs ‘we just need to turn up’ to beat these lost 5 out of 5 teams just to get done over
Don’t want to tempt fate because we all know about Dr Tottenham but we will go 2nd if we win but most importantly put a nice gap between us and our potential rivals for top 4/5 in Chelsea, United etc. Edit: United are so poor nowadays they will probably be nowhere near top 5.
There are no excuses for his negativity when he has Palinha alongside. His first look and pass is far too often backwards.
