Also, gotta say, that's an impressive signing for LA. Didn't know he was going there. Makes sense as there is a big Korean population in LA.
Nah I'm pretty ****ed off that we're 48hrs away from our first game of the season and all our new messiah Spors has achieved is to bring in 2 nobodies from the German second division and rewarding Stephens with a new contract.
That’s because you didn’t watch it and the quote has been taken out of context, and are desperate to find something to complain about. He was meaning that it’s a good place to come and become better, that the coaching is the right place for young talent, and because they are going to focus on blending youth and experience/tenacity. It was basically saying that they’re trying to make Southampton an appealing place to come. That’s a good thing. Of course we’ll buy young, develop and sell high. That’s essentially the model for any successful club of our stature. It’s what we used to do well, and what places like Brighton do. It’s not something to complain about.
Remember that sumer of 2022 window, when we all sat here and said that was a fantastic window? And then got relegated bottom of the table? Let's reassess at the end of the season; only then will we know if they've done right or not
Good job Spors' new signings look the business otherwise we could be in real trouble. The ownership of this club are massively taking the piss
You can't judge the new signings yet. I'm far more concerned about the manager right now than I am about the new signings (who all either have pedigree in this league already, or have some talent there, even if you're refusing to acknowledge that bit!)
