No, by the sounds of that. If they were looking likely to play, he'd have said so, not all this "uncertain" rubbish. I realise he doesn't want to get our hopes up but he's the manager, surely by Wednesday he should have some idea about whether they are likely to be in the 18.

Also, 30pts by Christmas?? I'm hoping we get 6 points from Swansea and West Brom like, no disrespect but these are teams we should be beating at home if we want to establish ourselves as a top half team. That whole tweet reeks of negativity.

I think Colo will start and Tiote on the bench.

Personally think 32 points should be the target! Would be disappointed if we didn't get six points from Swansea and West Brom home games.

I have no doubt that our full first team could easily dispatch WBA and Swansea. However, with these injuries....can't say I'm so confident. Everyone will have seen how much we struggled under the high ball at Norwich so I'm expecting aerial bombardments a la Stoke over the next few games.

Don't think so , Swansea and West Brom play good football. (Well West Brom try to...)

  6. 30pts by christmas? We should be beating the team with the worst away record so far and West Brom.

32pts, and then 35 pts by the end of boxing day.

  7. Morisson and Holt are both great players in the air though. Who do Swansea have that's great in the air? Also Williamson should be back for WBA and again they have no massive aerial threats.

Don't underestimate WBA if we're still struggling at the back.
Long and Odenwingie are good strikers.

  10. No one said they weren't, but we should be able to deal with them and they carry no real aerial threat.

Got the impression it's by no means certain either Colo or Cheick will play Saturday... Big 48 hours for both #nufc

We can manage without Tiote but we really need Colo back.

  12. I'm getting a bit sick of this cycle.
Start of the week "he's fit to play"
By the end of the week "...oh wait he's not fit lol"

It's always going to be like that, we'll just have to wait and see..

What we can't afford is rushing players back in when they're not fully fit!

  14. Yes but Im sick of being happy at the start of the week and optimistic about our next game, and then let down as the week progresses when they tell us a player isn't actually fit.

I think Colo will be back also. I hope so as I cant cope with the back 4 like it was against Norwich.

Swansea are a very good footballing side and thus I see this a hard game although we should win. Im hoping we start with Ben Arfa and drop Shola.

I also hope that Obertan starts well cause I can imagine the crowd getting on his back if he puts a foot wrong.

Yes I would much prefer it if it was played down at the start of the week so I would either be expecting them not to make it or pleasantly surprised that they did make it.

From what I've seen it's just been media reports about players being "possibly available again" and everyone's taken it as a given that they're playing. That's why everyone's now feeling depressed that they might not actually play.

Yes thats the attitude and not surprisingly not too unrealistic, for some reason I've got a bad feeling about Bolton on Boxing Day.
