Goodwood 2.25 ALSAD 11/2 Gosden Sea The Stars colt. Full brother won on debut and never ran again. Those who have run don't have great form. The Godolphin runner was last of five on debut and seems short enough. This race is 10f and is a long way for 2yos. Being slowly away should not matter too much and a half decent performance may be enough here. Obviously he's an unknown quantity but 7/4 for a horse with a RPR of 71 is skinny so Bay Of Brilliance is passed on stepping up from 7f. .

Alsad is weak in the betting. Bay Of Brilliance is all the rage but is no value at 6/5 in my opinion.
No great promise from Alsad unless he is a cup horse later in life. The Fav looked beat and odds on backers would have had moist underwear there. The Godolphin horse seemed to put up the white flag after taking it up and resolution must be questioned there but still a big step forward from debut.
