It’s a shame but injuries happen. A good chance for Rigg to step in or change formation? I’d go 3-5-2 personally Roefs Mukiele - Ballard - Alderete Hume - Sadiki - Xhaka - Talbi Le Fee Mayenda - Isidor
I’ve been wanting to see us line up like this during this period (when the games get tougher), but I was originally putting Diarra in for Le Fee. No problem with Le Fee stepping in.
I said this to the lads on Sunday after Reinildo got sent off. We're facing Forest and United which are the first 2 teams that will actually come at us this season, which is what we're actually set up for. Mayenda and Isidor will chaos havoc with their pace. Soak it up and hit them.
Not good news at all , gutted for the lad, hope the team continues to thrive without him and we don't rush him back too soon. . .
Theres bo way he'll miss the AFCON omo. He's too much of an important player for Senegal, theyll pick him and rest him till the later stages if need be, but theres no way theyll leave him home.
We are not required to release him for Afcon but the only way we'd do that is if he's not fit by the Mags game. Even if he wants to go its hard to imagine us allowing an expensive unfit player to risk themselves if we have any other choice. Unfortunate injury but not the end of the world. I like the look of a Sadiki, Xhaka, Rigg midfield from the brief 30 minutes we saw.
Nasty injury that. Easier than they once were to fix, in fact once you just couldn't fix them at all. But one to take care with
This. Even if he wouldn't be fit until the final, they'd still want him there imo. And I'm sure he'd want to be there. Best case scenario for us might be that he goes to AFCON imo, means he can get back some match fitness without us having to play someone in the Prem who hasn't kicked a ball for 3 months!
This looks like his first injury for a decent spell tbh He’s played 90 league games in the past 3 seasons, very reliable
