Yeah exactly. You don’t become **** overnight. There is something else going on with him. Either personal, injury or just he is annoyed he never got a move.
I'm either expecting us to get pummelled or give a performance which makes the last couple performances all the more confusing. Not quite sure why people are expecting a good performance, I'll actually be a little pissed if suddenly our players look like world beaters tonight after weeks of abject crap.
The long throw can`t be any worse than our persistence with the outswinging corner. No variety what so ever - totally predictable for the opposition. I could have cried when Manning swung one straight out of play on Saturday.
Although of course we’ll never know what happened but it seems to me that someone on the hierarchy ( and of course some entitled fans) didn’t like the style of play. What we had was a pragmatic manager who turned out a TEAM that knew what was needed and did the job. Had Puel been able to build and attract better players ( cos success does that!!) we might have had a very different outcome. Ancient history now though.[/QUOTE] Mid table mediocrity. Who needs that?
Eh, I think people are being kind on Puel, that team was only going one way and it wasn't up. Puel wasn't a victim of poor performances, he was victim of a club who just wanted to sell all the best assets of the club. But the football was turgid and that is important, this is an entertainment at the end of the day.
It's National Day in KSA. So perhaps the only good thing to come out of today for me is the public holiday here. I do hope Liverpool play their kids to keep the score down.
We couldn't even deal with Mcburnie at the weekend so watching this defence should be comical. Beers already in the fridge.
Sadly I'm working late tonight so I won't be able to watch it even if I wanted to. What a terrible shame.
I'm bang up for it, and hoping for an unexpected turnaround in form and a giant killing victory. But then, I am an idiot.
The peak Saints experience would be a narrow (brave) loss to Liverpool to get our hopes up, followed by a merciless, pathetic trouncing at home against Middlesbrough.
Not sure I want to watch it but no doubt will. Would love a surprise performance from us but nothing leads to this being the case likely. Hope I’m wrong.
