A new schedule so you so you can check your scores as I've entered them before we get too far into the process - and also compare your predictions with other's. The schedules all pop up to a larger size if you click on them.
Well, for most of us, this was an all-time low. Blackpool beat Barnsley, Wimbledon beat Doncaster, Huddersfield didn't beat Burton, Argyle didn't beat Peterborough. Either 8 out of the nine of us or indeed all 9 of us got those things wrong, Nobody had a successful Joker. In fact the only team that did do what we expected were good old Exeter City who lost at Stevenage. Well done you Grecians. The ones who can show their faces in public were Lyndhurst, who had 6 scoring matches and two 3 point scores, and SNH who got both the Goal Time (29 forecast v 31 actual) and the Total Goals, where he was spot on with 30, although he wouldn't have if the ref had noticed that Argyle had the ball over the line before the Peterborough keeper clawed it out (so I'm told). With recent league positions consisting of two groups: Away, Lyndhurst, Musty and Plym in the leading group and the rest clumped 15+ points behind, there were no radical changes but Lyndhurst is now hot on Away's heels at the top and SNH leapt from 8th to 5th. The next round kicks off at 12:30 on Saturday 27th September - fixtures to follow. Isn't it nice not to have mid-week games? Well that ends the following week, just so you know!
Although Argyle are playing Tuesday 23rd against Spurs U21's at Home Park.....might interested Joe being a Spurs supporter.
Can’t say I have much interest in that but I did watch Man Utd v Chelsea yesterday evening (with permission). Who says the Premier League isn’t real football? Chelsea’s keeper was sent off after just 4 minutes for charging out of the area and scything down a United player and Casemiro scored and inevitably was later sent off for Utd after a string of attempted GBH challenges. There were scuffles and bad feeling throughout. Wonderful stuff.
A it's all a matter of degree. After all, rugby is a game for hooligans played by gentlemen whilst football is a game for gentlemen played by hooligans.
Here is the match text for the next round of games, which kicks off at 12:30 on Saturday 27th September AFC Wimbledon - Wycombe Wanderers Leyton Orient - Stevenage Barnsley - Port Vale Bradford City - Blackpool Burton Albion - Plymouth Argyle Exeter City - Huddersfield Town Luton Town - Doncaster Rovers Mansfield Town - Rotherham United Northampton Town - Bolton Wanderers Peterborough United - Lincoln City Stockport County - Reading Wigan Athletic - Cardiff City This is Round 10, so we'll have double points and two jokers each please. Here also are the mid-week matches which kick off at 19:45 on Tuesday 30th September. Blackpool - Luton Town Cardiff City - Burton Albion Rotherham United - Bradford City It's up to you if you want to make one submission rather than two, but I will have to score them separately. Also bear in mind, it's a tight turnaround after the leisurely week between rounds we've been having recently. No jokers required thank you very much.
