Obviously it's early doors after only 5 league games, but from the limited action so far who is, in your opinion, our best signing of the summer?

I’ve suspect the answer will be Xhaka …

    … with another player second.

He's ruined the thread before it starts in my opinion.

Alderete would be my second choice.

Reinildo had been great value up until yesterday. So annoyed with his stupidity.

So hard to pick, I went with Sadiki as think hes impacted the most games so far but I'm loving Mukiele and Alderete at the minute as well

I struggle to pick a top 3 in terms of the new signings as Roefs, Reinaldo and Diarra impressed me so far. I really like the look of Talbi, I think hes a top top prospect that will only get better and better

I went Alderete but to be fair it could have been about 5 of them.

Agree. Some really good players in there Mukiele, Alderete and Sadiki all been top drawer. Roefs too. But Xhaka is offering a lot more than just his ability on the pitch you can’t put a price on the leadership qualities he’s showing. Leading from the front

I've gone Roefs. The difference a top class keeper makes is ridiculous. They all make mistakes occasionally, like yesterday! That mistake, closed fists, at his age is easily corrected, and it will be. He's gonna win us so many points this season.

All the rest of them are mint too!

Bang on that video. The fight and aggression will rub off on the other lads, he was charging around their back line yesterday at one point when we were 0-1 down and he looked thirsty for blood never mind passionate. Genius adding in the likes of Alderete and Mukiele who are both big physical players who bring aggression they really nailed the transfer market and addressed the glaring issue or what we lacked should I say, physicality and aggression. The quality of the players signed is unquestionable but we needed that dog in us.

Ive gone for Mukiele. Absolutely a beast of a player..Xhaka will get the plaudits for his leadership skills and rightly so. Great captain. I actually like Diarra and I think we missed his presence in midfield yesterday. He is big and strong and breaks play up very well. A little underrated by some. I think he does a great job. Hope his injury isn't serious and hes back soon. Mind it's very difficult to pick a single player out of the group. All have performed really well.

Of course it’s early days but we really did nail the summer window. The majority of signings hadn’t played in the PL before and I think it shows with how determined they’ve been. Class

After seeing leverkusen fans say xhaka was poor last season and his legs were gone I was a bit dubious. Thought it would be a last payday in the prem, couldn’t be more wrong. Bloke is absolutely class and he’s dragging others up with him. Mukilele/sadiki/alderete/roefs close second :emoticon-0102-bigsm. Can’t wait to see diarra light it up.

    Xakha for two reasons.

He's about the only one I'd ever heard of before the summer!

And he's absolutely my type of player and if he stays fit all season, and there is good reason to hope for that, we are going to be a handful almost every game.

There have been some belting signings mind, so far outside my expectations it's still barely believable. It's only five years since we were waiting for a fat Danny Graham to lose one of the spare stones he was carrying so that he could sign. Bonkers.

But Xhaka man. Those who follow cricket will know what I mean when I liken his presence to that of Ben Stokes on the England team. For those who don't, it's like a team turning out with their Dad in the side.

Alderete for me. But it is a bit like trying to chose my favourite malt <laugh>

He juat oozes defencive calmness. Reads things well, strong in every way and picks a hell of a good pass. He must be so easy to play alongside.

A left footer as well, gives us good balance like a quality single malt.
