    RESULTS

    QPR 1 Stoke 0 (s-o-t 7)
    Wolves 1 Leeds 3
    Salford 3 Swindon 2
    Lazio 0 Roma 1
    Bournemouth 0 Newcastle 0
    Bristol City 1 Oxford 3

    -

A ridiculously low scoring round this week, with a lot of posters scoring only 4 or 2 points ( or even 0 ).

Has this ever happened before? From 192 predictions made this week there was only 1 (one!) correct score predicted. (Moi!! Hoops!)

Top scorer this week was TotallyQpr with 9 points.

JeffRanger, FlanMan, Utrs, DevonHoop, LoftyAmbitions and newcomer YorkShireRs (welcome) all scored 7.

RTID hit 6 and Kilburn and Hoop-Leif 5 apiece.

Finglas only scores 4 this week but still sees his lead grow to 14 points.

3 league games coming up in the next week so there will be a couple of extra games to guess at.

Stunning turn-around time Hoop Leif!! Top marks sir (and well done on the predictions).
Crazy how difficult the predictions have been. Some real surprise results amidst bang average games throwing out draws.
Keep up the difficult choices HL :emoticon-0137-clapp

We done to those who did well.

l seem to be doing squat.
Kiwi continues to blitz with a solid effort.
Of course, l’m a pathological liar and couldn’t lie straight in bed, which leads me to thinking l might have a career in politics!

Just a minor point, and please don't think I am being anal, but it's Croydon not Croyden.

Edit - thanks for changing and for your work in doing this comp.

I remember in the CCF in grammar school, us squaddies went up to the Lake District for a week of Arduous Training in rough mountainous terrain. First day we hiked a long way with our gear, set up tents for the night but there was a heavy rainstorm during the night so we woke up with streams of water running through our old fashioned army tents. So for the rest of the week we slept in a village hall, divided up according to our tent groups and living on Compo (canned) rations that came in heavy boxes, with occasional pub visits. We still did our hikes on the peaks but always returned to the village hall at the end of the day. On the train ride home (somewhere around Birmingham) we were notified that certain boys, who had performed "above and beyond" were designated as "Mentioned in Despatches". I was not one of them but we all received a light blue (Coventry) lanyard to attach to our battle dress lapels.

I would add that at age 14 on my first visit to the Army range using a Lee Enfield 303 rifle (we had 150 of them locked up in our Armoury at Grammar School), shooting with the regular sight at 150 yards, then the battle (small circle) sight at 300 yards, I amassed a score of 47/50 making me a marksman and was presented with a badge with a rifle and crown on it that my Mother sewed onto the upper left arm of my battle dress blouse!
