Thought he was quality, might be he best thing being able to rotate him and out. No worries about him replacing diarra

Until Renildo comes back - think we will play 3 centre halfs as it will be very difficult to leave Ballard out of the side. Defensively sound and a major weapon in the opposition box.

The other way to look at is that there are 9 teams between us an a relegation spot, so if there’s still 9 between us with 5 games to go I would settle for that!

That was absolutely fecking phenomenal. What a side to shout for. They give it all back and more.

All things considered, I think that was our best performance since BSA's team beat Chelsea 3-2 all those years ago.

Before kick off I would have been happy with a point cos i was sort of expecting that it would be 'typical Sunderland' for Villa to eventually find their feet today. That wasnt being the case until we stupidly got a bloke sent off (typical Sunderland). But to still get a point? Ever since the play offs we have been doing things that I have not expected. Maybe its time to get into my head that days like today is the new 'typical Sunderland'

Well that was some gutsy performance.

We don't look out of place at all.

Some Herculean performances. Sadiki, Mulkeile (immense) Alderete. Ballard very good. Xhaka is such a good organiser and communicator.

Have to say enjoyed the Montgomery Suite. A nice change and padded seats for better comfort than the East Stand.

    Really proud of this team

Can I say it's great being a Sunderland supporter

Excellent performance from everyone who was on the pitch in red & White . Fought tooth and nail for each other and left nowt out there which is all we ask. We created some chances today hit the bar and I thought we were more than worthy of a point. Cracking atmosphere again and the players respond. Looking forward to next week now and another massive game.

This would have been like the Kevin Ball/Alex Rae combo all over again.

    Lorik Cana and Xhaka today...

They are definitely more comfortable than my normal seats. Many people say I should be in a padded cell!!!

How annoying is the Villa manager ffs …

… running up and down the touchline, playing every pass and waving his arms around like a trackside bookie.

No idea how the players can concentrate with him dancing around for 90 minutes.
