On the positive side, we are unbeaten away from home this season and we stop a top 4 team in Bournemouth from scoring
We have gone to two away games now set up for a draw and I don't particularly enjoy it. For me being boring is a massive sin, I can't stand it. The Liverpool game so far this season has by some margin been the best bit of football we have actually played
Another two points dropped. Attacking play - we showed nothing today. The Bournemouth monkey is alive and well.
It’s a good point. But it was awful to watch. Not sure what to think if I am honest other than forget about it.
There's a simple conclusion that should be clear to us now and it's that we're just not very good. We've not spent for 3 transfer windows and now we've got it completely wrong.
Bradford then Arsenal at home. We can give Arsenal a game. I think Howe was just a little scared of losing again at Bournemouth. The clear tactic was a bank of 5-4-1 and just hoof it up to Voldemort.
So we're writing Woltemade off after 2 league games, Wissa after he's not even played, and Thiaw and Elanga after they've been good?
Didnt see game but listened to it and read the comments on here and BBC. Didn’t sound like an enjoyable watch but the positives are that we got a point away from home against a side in form with a lot of the ‘first’ team rested and got another clean sheet. Drawing away whilst not winning is better than losing. And matches last season’s result. Wonder if we are the only Club to spend money in the last 4 years or whether other Clubs were allowed to spend on players as well? Anyone got the answer as I can’t be bothered to Google it?
Villa have problems right now, we don't. The year we finished 4th our first 8 games were W1 D6 L1, we're ahead of that right now. We've obviously just started slow because of various ****, team is working itself together.
Good point, below par boring performance. Pope good All 3 CBs good, best from Botman for a while. Tonali possibly mom for us Miley ok Willock poor Murphy biggest threat till injury Tino below his best. Hall started slow but grew into it. Woltemade looks good. Not a huge amount of service but had a clear penalty waved away.
We are a side devoid of any creativity or spark then factor in Eddie has decided to play with a back 9. We’re just dull and boring. I don’t know what eddies squad decisions are supposed to do, city have named an unchanged line up today for the fourth match in a row.
Id take the point all day and if we had the Livar bird on our shirt, we would have had a pen. We have Gordon back so can attack from both wings again. Nick W is looking good, his link up play is superb. Get Gordon and Elanga feeding off them. Wissa and Ramsey injury have set us back a bit but we have played 3 away and 2 at home and one of those was against Liverpool. I dont know what people want at the moment. Howe is finally starting to rotate and use the squad...... Haven't we been crying out for that for ages?
There is no chance whatsoever of this side getting back in the champions league or Europe in any capacity on what we're seeing and that will be Tonali and Guimareas gone. They'll cash in on Botman and Howe will be given a few hundred million more, so We fould be the next Everton if we're not careful... Oh well have it wait and see. Decent point but we're supposed to be more capable in terms of performance I'm sure having spent 650 million pounds in this squad.
