The Little Hull City mentality.....Long may it continue....BTW Don't attempt a MENSA test any time soon...It could be embarrassing for you!
You stayed up only on the final day last season. And on the face of it, had started this season even worse than we had. With our comparative budgets and goals for the season, what did you expect? Obviously we’d think we should be beating you. We didn’t, you schooled our dysfunctional team and green manager. Bet you lot weren’t expecting to beat us so easily either.
Last season is last season mate...We've recruited okay this season. To be fair to us we've started the season not great, but okay...Draw 0-0 at Cov...Beat Oxford. The 0-3 lose to Blackburn was 70% down to illness in the camp..Lost to a decent Bristol outfit. Outplayed Swansea the other week, at theirs, but couldn't hammer it home and had to settle for a draw...Let you lot have all the ball and run around a lot...Good luck for the rest of the season. You'll be okay.
Why was it not accurate? You can dominate a game but lose because you can’t attack or defend. Seems fairly easy to understand.
I am not talking about that - I didnt't mention it. Have you misread my initial post? Will Still said the reason we didn't score was because we didn't believe that we would... which is a load of crap.
I have no issue with losing to you guys. You exposed, yet again, our total inability to deal with big arseholes like McBurnie - who I swear is always a big issue for us. However, coming on this board to gloat about it is embarrassing. And, sorry, but if you can’t see what a flippy floppy dark arts player McBurnie is you should find a new sport. Hard as nails half the time and screaming like a newborn the rest! And I don’t say that to insult him. We are lacking that win at all costs mentality.
I disagree. Confidence. Belief. Arrogance. All key aspects of being a good football team. His post match comments were absolutely fine. The performance was crap though.
I'm really disappointed that you think I'm 'gloating'. That's miles off the truth...TBH I'm just having a lazy Sunday morning chortle at some of the 'my dads bigger than your dad' thinking that is evident on this board... Ps. The sun is shining. You couldn't get two different contrasting days in a row...Peace out.
Vast majority of fans from all teams base their opinions on opposition teams based on where they finished last season and their results so far this season. Obviously results only tell half a story, but most people aren’t watching every game outside of their own team. And don’t know anything about transfers that other teams have made except for generally well known players. My point is I don’t think it’s unreasonable for Saints fans to expect our team to beat Hull based on those basic metrics which is all most have to go off. Even having watched the game I still don’t think Hull are a particularly good team, and again going off much less info then you have on Hull of course, I think you’ll be a lower half team. Maybe I’ll be wrong again, we’ll see. You absolutely deserved to beat us yesterday though and fair play for completely schooling us. Don’t be offended when the reverse fixture comes along and we once again, despite yesterday’s game, think we should be beating you though.
There was hardly anyone left but lots of booing and abuse flying their way when they came over. Not sure if there was any applause as me and Lincs were at the front but I didn't hear any.
That was only the 6th game of the season and it’s already starting to feel like it’s a cold February and we all know we are doomed to relegation. It’s not that bad but why are SR so clueless at recruiting managers and strikers?
My wife called me on Thursday to tell me she was driving home from Lepe Beach with our daughters and noticed her phone was overheating and she decided to take it of the dashboard magnet and hold it out the car window to cool it off! You can probably guess what happened next... now waiting for the letter from Hants Constabulary telling her she has gotten herself 6 points and a £200 fine. Honestly, l tried really really hard not to say "WTF".
Decent post tbf....I don't think we'll be top half. Predicted 15th before a ball was kicked in anger. Sticking to it, but with players coming back after ACLs e.g. Belloumi and Millar we might dance around the top half for a bit then fall away as injuries mount in the last third. Top half for you guys...See you again at ours next season.
I see where you’re coming from and it’s a fair point, but Hull didn’t dominate the game but win 3-1. He’s got a lot of work to do on this squad, not least of which is getting players switched on especially in critical moments. I agree he needs time but results will once again determine if that time is being well directed or not. I’m not for the ‘out’ stuff yet.
