This is a funny one. Posh have had a worse start to the season than we have and currently have a worse goal against than we have. We both won our last game despite that. We have injuries coming out our ears and to say the least are down to the bare bones. I still think we can win this but I don't think it will be a walk in the park.

But it's never a walk in the park is it?

A very frustrating afternoon with Argyle not able to turn dominant possession of the football into clear chances.

It’s difficult to pick out why: nobody played badly and Tolaj worked like a Trojan upfront, including putting constant physical pressure onto bigger defenders.

Too often though key passes were delayed or spurned for safer alternatives. Perhaps it’s a mark still of a newly assembled squad with an unfortunate number of changes due to injuries.

Law McCabe acquitted himself well but he doesn’t yet have the lust for blood, tactical or physical, that Caleb Watts has.

A match we could have won and should certainly taken a point from, but we couldn’t make superiority count.

    Never a penalty btw.

I said not a pen at the time but that was more my Green tints than anything I could actually prove . Haven't seen it again yet ut no doubt I will with multiple replays. So, as said at the first post this will be hard. It was. We were the better side and had more possession and efforts etc without being able to put any of it to the back of the net. At times it was harder to miss than score. We had at least 3 clear cut chances that should have been put away. Either by bad luck or whatever the football god calls it we managed to not put it in. The Ref wasn't the best although we can't blame him for the loss this time.

We did not play well most of the time and Posh were either just as bad or worse. You can see why they are where they are and unless they turn the tide they will be in trouble this season. I find it hard to swallow that we cannot pass the ball when it would be so easy to do it. I find it hard that we pass the ball backwards more than the other way. I find it hard to understand why slow is the method rather than quickly. We are our own worst enemy most of the time.

It’s the lack of that final ball or the burst into the box.

I didn’t like Muslic’s agricultural style and Cleverley clearly wants to play better, possession football. But when you get to that last 25 yards, you’ve got to be more direct than we were today. It was there for the taking and we didn’t.

I don’t think it was a penalty but of course Ashby-Hammond saved it anyway. That’s not where we lost it.

Cleverley agrees with you about the lack of urgency towards the end. How he got a clear view from the home dug-out as to whether the ball crossed the line for a goal I do not know but it's nice to know he's a biased as the rest of us!

I thought Cleverley was under a touch-line ban for receiving a red card last week ?

He's on a "Misconduct" charge - it's not just encroaching onto the field of play but bad-mouthing the officials I think. Perfectly justified in my opinion, but still.

I presume it has to go to a hearing to decide his punishment rather than it being a fixed tariff offence.
