Hull have conceded 3 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 2 goals in their last five games. We have barely had a chance against them.
I thought after last week, we need to be patient., but to be getting battered by the team who finished 20th last season is not teething problems. It is poor tactics and a lack of desire from our players
But isn't all that change an obvious reason to appoint an experienced manager after last season? The club must have known what they were walking into this summer. Still has been thrown in the deep end.
And yet if another club brought in Archer, Stewart and Armstrong this summer as their forwards our fans would be jealous.
What is annoying is there have been some positives in this game. What is turning me against Still is taking off Fellows. I mean… he was the best player on the pitch!
Some people still wanted to give Russell Martin time in November, you will sometimes never convince people a boat sinking even when they’re knee deep in water.
Yeah I said it at the time, by appointing Still you are hugely rolling the dice on this season, with a view/hope he comes good and turns into the PL manager all the talk and hype was predicting. You would hope the squad we assembled would carry him at times to get us over the line and promotion and he could be the manager who could be the X factor that helps you survive in the PL. So far he looks clueless and the players are not settled enough to cover up his awful tactics. In hindsight we should’ve sold Fernandes and Dibling earlier to bring in the players and give them more time to gel
Battered by ****ing Hull. Can't wait to see the positive spin on this. I reckon we should try get it wide and cross it?
Why would they? Armstrong maybe and only based on 2 seasons ago. Nothing about Archer or especially Stewart screams excitement or quality. They have done nothing for seasons for completely different reasons. Stewart has somewhat of an excuse but there are still red flags around a player who hasn’t played for 2 seasons. Archer has had multiple oppurtunities now. At what point does a player go from potential to just not very good?
Charles has looked good. Fellows quite good. In the middle third we are great. But at both ends absolutely clueless.
Completely shock result, arguably more so than the skates losing the Wednesday! Hull have been one of the favourites for relegation since mid way through last season, we should not be losing 3 (wait a second…. Ah very nearly 4) nil
When I see his interviews I never feel convinced that he's a football manager more like a young salesman
I very much doubt it! I realise that you are one of the more positive posters on this forum but I really do think you need to remove those rose tinted glasses! Listen to Jo Tessum lament our strikers, might just have a little more insight?
