A chap called Jobe. Would he get in the team now?

Didn’t start for Dortmund yesterday. Got dragged at half time a few weeks back too.

I’m not sure personally, Diarra does more running than Jobe for sure but I don’t think he’s really done much to warrant his price tag in the first few games of the season. Sadiki has looked much the better player. We’d lose legs if we swapped Diarra for Jobe but maybe gain some ball playing ability? God knows tbh. Probably not.

There's always a good time to buy, nd more importantly to sell.

He’d be a guaranteed starter if he remained in the summer, not a single doubt about it o_O

Probably the player we would not have bought if Jobe stayed.

Both excellent in my view. Sadiki's buzzing style will always catch the eye, and he's a bloody good player. But Diarra is always where you want him, is a big physical lad and covers miles of ground. Think there's a goal or two in him too. That midfield three is superb..

As for Jobe, he has went up a notch or two and has to rise to the challenge. He's a goodun, no doubt, but I don't think his Dad did him any favours at all a few weeks ago.

It was probably a shock to the system for the full family when he was subbed. They aren’t used to it…

No. But bugger all to do with anyone other than Jobe and the coach.

I think this is fair right now, Sadiki has a more specific and ‘solitary’ role if you like and he has just hit the ground running.

You can see Diarra has it though, great physicality and good movement. He’s getting a bit better every game and I think where it’s harder for him is his game relies more on combinations and understandings that can take a minute to develop.

I’ve little to no doubt that Diarra will be exceptional once we have some fluidity in the final third.

He cost more than Sadiki due to profile, age and the league he was in. Sadiki was a steal based on the first few weeks. Lads got ‘club idol’ stamped all over him already (a few of the new lads have)

To answer the original question, I don’t personally think Jobe is anywhere near the leave of the 4 CM we have now currently.

I think when in the not too distant future it clicks a bit with the wide players and the CM Diarra is gonna soar and be really key.

Xhaka was always just gonna do exactly what he’s doing, and he will benefit from the time spent as well he will find more passes out and more runs.

I can’t wait to get to this point it will be really exciting.

Defence already looks like it’s been together 2 years such is the quality we’ve picked up for the back 5 (and back up)
