Rangers head coach Russell Martin: "Three tough decisions went against us. Ours was definitely a goal and there was a hand ball before their first one.

"There is a lot of anxiety, a lot of difficulty managing expectation. We have so many players trying to feel their way into their Rangers career in a really difficult situation.

"It is not going to be an easy journey for me to win favour. It hasn't been from day one with a lot of people, but we'll keep working and make sure it does."

"There is a lot of anxiety, a lot of difficulty managing expectation"

Surely there isn't? It seems simple to me. "Beat everyone other than celtic and then give it a good go against celtic."

"It is not going to be an easy journey for me to win favour."

perhaps maybe its as simple as "Beat everyone other than celtic and then give it a good go against celtic."

The problem they’re getting close to having, I’d how do they attract someone new to take over?

You’re effectively inheriting a 33 game procession to a disappointing finish if you take the job now.

Just reading on line of the potential cost for Rangers to dismiss Martin and his team and the fact that they do not gave the money to do so. They are stuck with him for a while and think they are going to be in a relegation battle they will struggle to come out of. Martin has it within him to relegate Rangers.

I don't think any manager will want the job after him as it will take alot of effort to undo the damage.

But Jake Humphrys said we were wrong to sack him?

Not sure. As IanT said above, if they sack him & probably his staff, that’s going to be a ****e load of cash, which they don’t really have. They might be hopeful he chucks it in but we know what a ****ing obstinate twat he is, he won’t walk. Just listened to his 3min plus post match interview - jeez he’s so good with the media it makes me sick. You can see why club directors fall for his storyline.

They do have the money to sack him. Their owners are involved with an NFL team.

Yes they do. Their owners are also financially backing the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL so they're not short of cash.

They still have to balance the fair play books.

It’s a great gig being a sh*t football manager like Martin…. He had a great payoff from us and doubtless it’s not going to be if he goes, it’s when he goes, he’ll get a half decent payoff too…. Him and Lucy will disappear off to some sunny med holidays for twelve months or so and then he’ll have to pull the wool over another clubs eyes when they’re short of cash…. Rinse and repeat….
