Just came across this on LinkedIN, of all places - https://gamingnewsbyte.com/midnite-...mittee-ahead-of-crunch-derby-with-portsmouth/ Apologies if covered already but first I have seen of it…
Have suggested my daughter-in-law hides all sharp objects after the match. Guess that makes me a pessimist
This was the most upsetting moment supporting Saints, and just why Rsdknap edges above Martin in my opinion Southampton lost 4–1 to Portsmouth at Fratton Park in April 2005. At full-time, Harry Redknapp—by then manager of Southampton but formerly Portsmouth’s highly successful boss—turned and gave a thumbs-up gesture towards the directors at Fratton Park (his former club), a moment that resonated deeply with the fans and media . I am hoping when we win all the fans give a thumbs to the other teams fans.
Isn’t there supposed to be a calm before the storm? Well I’m currently staying 2 mins walk from Staplewood and there’s a thunderstorm overhead right now and it’s pissing it down. Feels ominous. Edit: It's now hailing
I'll be honest I don't hate Pompey or any club after all they are just another football club, I just can't stomach Skates
All . I honestly hope we beat them . Most of all I hope you all stay safe . The way things are going at the moment , I’ve a nasty feeling something bad’s going to happen tomorrow .
It is such a carefully managed event these days. My only worry is Le Tiss being given a stand to talk about vaccines!
The only way anything nasty can happen really is if Pompey fans turn up that aren't going to the game and so are outside of the bubble, but that doesn't seem likely because they'd be massively outnumbered. I guess you could get Saints fans lobbing stuff at the coaches or fans throwing things at each other in the ground but it will be heavily policed so you'd have to be extra brain dead to think you'd get away with it without being arrested. Hopefully we don't get any idiots running on the pitch!
