    Fulham v Leeds United
    Saturday 13th September@15:00 | Craven Cottage

Leeds United face Fulham with a mixed injury update, as Daniel Farke prepares to welcome back key players while simultaneously dealing with a fresh setback for a new signing. Positively, central midfielders Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka have both returned to team training after recovering from respective MCL problems, providing a much-needed boost to Farke's options in the engine room.

However, this good news is tempered by the loss of new arrival Lucas Perri. The Brazilian shot stopper, who had only recently overcome an initial hamstring issue, has now sustained a quad problem that will sideline him for both the Fulham and Wolves fixtures. Perri had shown flashes of potential, notably keeping clean sheets against Everton and Newcastle at home.

Further adding to Farke's worries, strikers Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe are carrying knocks, despite both being expected to travel with the squad. The gaffer could be called upon to start Noah Okafor up front if Dominic Calvert Lewin, Nmecha and Piroe are not fit to start. Joe Rodon should start despite suffering a concussion at the Wales training camp.

The upcoming trip to Craven Cottage also brings into focus Leeds' challenging record in the capital; their last top-flight victory in London dates back to the 21/22 season finale against Brentford under Jesse Marsch, a game remembered for a penalty gift and an opponent's sending off. On the other side, Fulham are in better shape, with manager Marco Silva hopeful that defender Issa Diop will be available after the international break, representing their only significant injury concern.

An interesting statistic also looms large for the Cottagers: they have conceded a penalty in each of their last five Premier League matches – a streak no side has extended to six games in a row. As Leeds navigate their injury landscape and historical struggles, this London encounter promises to be a stern examination for Farke’s men.

Didn't listen but read some of Farke's comments from the presser.

He needs to stop the rhetoric that he's unhappy with the lack of signings and that we dont have the individual talents and that this season is going to be hard work because that ****e goes straight through the dressing room. Last thing we need is the playing squad thinking that we aren't good enough to stay up.

Rhetoric should be much more positive than that now the window is shut.

I only picked up on the injury updates, so haven’t seen his comments but presumably he was asked directly about it given his previous comments. But yeh if he’s still droning on, I agree it’s one thing to put some pressure on the owners and another to not put it to bed and risk the confidence of the dressing room.

Previously I thought he was careful to make it sound like it was a numbers issue rather than infividual quality issue - but whilst I like Farke but there’s no doubt he likes to make sure everyone knows things aren’t his fault, and he’s likely got one eye on his next job. <laugh>

    saw this quote:

"I don't feel sorry for myself. You won't hear a bad word from me after a transfer window has closed. Once the situation is done, I adapt to the reality. There's not one thought of me to be disappointed or down. I'm fully focused on the next game."

Sounds like he’s getting his excuses in early and as many times as he can before game time. No time for the guy but on this window I have every sympathy with him. It only needed another £30m to make the window a success

He didn’t need to make any about the window, he could have said we lost Solomon got Jack back and signed £100m of talent

I’m guessing he did since he said that he wanted more forward options but didn’t get them, was that question asked of him (I haven’t seen the presser)?

Solomon, Gnonto, James, Aaronson, Bamford, Joseph, James, Piroe.

    Vs

Okafor, Gnonto, James, Aaronson, Harrison, Piroe, DCL, Nmecha, Piroe

    He has got more ;)

As well as two extra options in midfield, one extra option in goal and two extra options in defence

Most away games are gonna be tough.
Today we will have an idea of where we are and what is needed in the upcoming months.
Fulham are your middle diddle Prem team they are not going to be involved in the top 6 but will have enough to keep away from the relegation battle.
A point here will be a good point I would take it now. 3 would be magical.
What I want to see more is us competing and mixing it. its all good and well taking a point in any scenario but Id rather see that point in a game where we deserved it rather than backs against the wall for long periods.
These are the teams we need to be mixing it with if we want to stay up
    Mon the Leeds.

A point would bea great result. Fulham are a solid team, especially at home. We weren't great away from home last season and it will be tougher this season.

Hopefully we ride our luck and get a point.

    Next 4 games.

    Fulham away.
    Wolves away.
    Bournemouth home.
    Spurs home.

Today is potentially the hardest one imo.

Im looking at Wolves away as a possible 3 points if we turn up. They've been awful for the most part. Even they have had spells in games where they looked decent though. We are capable of sneaking a result here. 6 pointer in September lol.

Bournemouth have impressed me so far. Semenyo is a fantastic talent. Evanilson is also exceptional. It will be hard to stop them scoring and we are struggling for goals. Tough game, they'll finish top half.

We play Spurs Saturday dinner and they play in Europe on the Tuesday night away at Bodo/Glimt. Hopefully we can catch them on a bad day after an away day in Europe.

Winless Fulham + London, not a good combo.
Pointless (probably) Wolves (got Spurs away after us too) + had too much joy their in the last 2 PL visits. Boos at full time.
Little but very good Bournemouth, I'm hearing sack the board, although we'll fight back for a draw..
    Tottenham DF's last game.

Sorry, just like to expect the worst, no logic applied <laugh>
