    They're there on merit as opposed to the owners relationship with their father perhaps?

    I think that's what folk are suspicious of. And not without reason.

    I'm reserving judgment on this one. Burnley will be a higher bar than here.

    He’s been judged not good enough for Burnley U21’s. He might develop further and be ok, but if he wasn’t Ronaldinho’s son, I doubt we would have picked him up at all.

    That seems really weird to me since City love a bit of nostalgic nepotism. Not to downplay their talent, but we have Stan Ashbee in the under-21s and we did offer a contract to Lucas Dawson but he turned it down to move to the US. There’s also Rocco Coyle in the under-21s.

    I think Mark Greaves was very underrated as a player , but maybe that was just relative
    to the team we had at the time , probably nowhere near as good as Jacob
