Oh I don't think the crowd will need whipping up at all; but you can never go wrong with Dave Merrington (or someone equal) speaking passionately to the crowd.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce80je8404lo The BBC are reporting that "Police tell troublemakers 'do not come' to derby". This will obviously stop any issues, as clearly anyone planning on any sort of confrontation will read this story and change their minds about stirring up trouble. In other news, local man finds gold at the end of a rainbow, and Father Christmas is interviewed in his home at the North Pole
https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/ma...s-vs-portsmouth?dm_i=7KYR,28PF8,5NF5U,47W3V,1 Fanzone opens at 09:30 Oh and get excited everyone. They're doing that pyrotechnics display thing 10 mins before KO
Yeah no idea, it doesn't say. I'd assume opening the fanzone means they are serving alcohol because otherwise what's the point
Don't see why not. Loads of pubs will be open by then. Skates will probably be at the ground by around 10 and drinking. I'm more surprised they're opening the fan zone afterwards. I'd have thought the old bill would want everyone away from the ground.
Suspect when they're ready to bring them out they'll block access off to Britannia road and only allow people to leave via the footbridge until they've gone.
Not so sure about that, we've hardly been a footballing side so far. Our main tactic seems to be working crossing opportunities which does suit poor weather. Either way it does increase the chance of a mistake settling the game. Defender slipping over or misjudging tackle etc.
Now we're close what team does everyone want to see? I'd like to see something like: Alex (I know it'll be Baz) Mads THB Stephens Manning Charles Downes Fellows Azaz Fraser Archer I don't hate the back 3 as much as others here but I think it'll send the wrong message to play it in this game. Wouldn't like to see too many newbies start and I think Fraser will be well suited to a derby match too. Robinson better off the bench for this one imo.
Yeah no matter how we go we'll have a pretty strong bench. I'd be tempted to start Stewart to give some physicality against their CB's but be harsh to drop Archer.
