  1. Well maybe we should start with this -

    ----------------Ba---------------------

    --------------------HBA---------------

    Jonas----Tiote--------Cabaye------Obertan

    Santon---Colo----------Simmo--------Raylor

    -----------------Krul----------------------

And finish the game with this -

Willo for Raylor at 60 mins, switch Simmo to RB.

Abeid on for HBA if we're winning around 75 mins

Shola for Ba after 75 mins.

    -----------------Shola-----------------------

    Jonas--------------------------------Obertan

    --------Abeid----Tiote-----Cabaye------------

    Santon------Colo------Willo----------Simpson

    -----------------Krul-------------------------

The press conference will be real, the quotes they're posting will be from the conference which was recorded for NUFCtv and presumably will be on the website tomorrow.

Oh aye, i just couldnt remember there already being one which is why i said id wait for it to come on nufc tv as usual.

    Also Tash...

Why waste precious internet space and people time with this bollocks? You couldnt even make it as an U10s manager with this sort of tactical approach.

You cant just say when and where substitutions should happen before the game has even kicked off man. Substitutions should only be made when needed to replace injured players to have a positive impact on the game depends on various other circumstances.

He shouldn't be rushed back, he looked dodgy when we did that before against Scunthorpe.

  5. If you don't like my posts then there's always the ignore function mate <ok>

Willo on for Raylor because Williamson needs game time. He's probably not fully fit, so we should give him the chance to get back into some first team action and settle back in.

If Williamson is terribly sloppy and seriously unfit then he wont even be on the bench, but if he is, Pardew must have the belief that he is in decent enough condition to play at least a fraction of the game.

Abeid for HBA IF the game is already won, to give a promising young prospect a chance to play and get a feel for first team action.

Obviously the subs we make depend on how the game is progressing, so If we are chasing after a win, I wouldn't take off Hatem or bring on Abeid, which is why I said "if we are winning".

Your views on substitutions, I agree with mostly, but you should tell that to Pardew, he's the one that ****s over Smith and Perch, not me.

Does it not occur to you that Pardew brought Smith on (when the game was already lost) to keep him happy because he is a good influence in the dressing room? Fergie only came on for the last few minutes as well and look what he had to say about it.

Also, if Smith is going to play on Saturday, then it is a good move to show him you're confident in him by giving him a sub appearance against Norwich.

If we have Colo I'm confident we'll win regardless of who partners him. Colo and Tiote and I'm certain of it.

With Williamson I've read a few things saying he looked rusty so may be a better bet for WBA next Wednesday. In the past six months he's barely kicked a ball in anger.

Risking Williamson this soon would be irresponsible, the fact that he only managed 45 minutes today in a reserve game says it all.

With the influence of Coloccini, Perch will be ok to play another game, no disrespect to Swansea but I think this is a game we should be looking to win at home regardless of which team we put out (within reason of course)

Not really sure what everyones fascination is with playing Simpson at CB ahead of Perch? Simpson was far worse than Perch against Norwich and this way he can slot back into his NATURAL position at right back, where although hes still below average hes better there than at CB.

Perch was good against Chelsea until Taylor went off injured and IMO wasnt as bad as everyone makes out against Norwich.

    My team would be:

    Krul

    Simpson Perch Coloccini Santon

    Obertan Tiote Cabaye Gutierrez

    Best Ba

Williamson didnt "only manage" 45 mins in the reserves, the plan pre game was to take him off at half time. And Simpson was better than Perch at CB, which frankly doesnt say much for Perch.

But that's the only football he's had in 3 months, and hadn't had much before he got injured, he'll need a few games to get his sharpness.

True, I would be tempted to play Simpson anyway, they dont really have a great deal of aerial threat and we could always bring Williamson on off the bench if we were struggling in the air.

However you look at it the bloke has had 45 minutes of reserve action coming back from a lengthy injury period, is it worth throwing him straight in on Saturday where he might be incredibly rusty, or risk another set back.

And I dont know whether you saw the full 90 minutes but 3 of the 4 goals, Simpson was vastly out of position for, and didnt even do so much as jump for the headed goals, Perch wasn't great either, but was definitely the better of the two and we might aswell put Simpson back into his natural position.

Why Kadar isn't being considered is beyond me to be honest.

I'd be happy to see Simpson at CB again, assuming Kadar is still being completely ignored.

Good news for you. You really don't want Perch going up against the powerful Danny Graham, and you REALLY don't want perch against Scott Sinclair.

Rumour has it that AW is interested in Perch as back up.
