    I wish the Toon Army well, especially against Swansea. But in my eyes Williamson is every bit as bad as Carlos Tevez and Andy O'Brien, and should never be allowed to play professional football again. In fact he's worse, because he actually got his way.

    Not sure what this is about, wasn't the issue at Portsmouth simply that they couldn't actually afford to play him?

    Think he forced the move to Portsmouth from Watford.

    He's no Taylor but if he keeps Perch out I am over the moon. Even if Tiote doesnt play then apparently Abeid is next in line <diva>

    The issue is that he refused to play (ironically against Swansea) in order to force the move to Portsmouth.

    Don't know the circumstances but players do this at every club, unfortantly. Looks like our soon to be addition (Maiga) has done a similar thing as well. At times though they do have a fair point if the board is being unreasonable in preventing the players from progressing in their careers.

    I don't think Williamson will play, he's only had 45 minds of reserve football since he's been out.

    I can't wait til he's back though, so so so so so much better than the rest of our backup and Williamson's average!

    Lee Ryder was at the reserve game and tweeted that Williamson looked worryingly rusty.... and he only played 45mins. So I wouldnt expect him to start at all, but maybe on the bench?

    It's worth remembering that while Williamson may consider himself fit, the medics may disagree. Players are often overeager, and it's supposedly the reason so many Sunderland players got injured under Bruce, because he took the player's word over the doctor's.

    NUFC fans tweeting stuff means feck all to me. They'll RT any old rubbish from any fan or 'sauce'. Was there an actual press conference? Cant really remember anything said about one, but ill wait until it comes on nufc tv before i get excited about having Colo, Cabaye and Tiote in the same team together again.

    Williamson wont be fit enough to play 90 minutes and if he's still rusty i wouldnt want him playing at all, even on the bench. Whats the point in that? Unless we're 3/4 - 0 up with little time remaining, theres no reason to bring on a rusty CB.
